First make sure your hold switch isn't on. It's on the top and slides
back and forth. It needs to be switched to the left. If it is to the
left, here's how you reset:
You can reset your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round
button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see
an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will
shut off, then back on.
Nothing on the ipod site has helped!
If you know anyone with a sound dock you may want to try plugging it into one. I had that same problem and only the sound dock got me back to normal
My ipod got totally stuck, it won't play or turn off.

My apple ipod wont play
It sounds like the battery is fried. That's the same thing that happened to mine. I had to take it to the Apple store, had them look at it, and they actually exchanged it for a refurbished iPod. There's not much you can do at home, unless you want to order a new battery from Apple. I would still recommend having them install it.
My ipod wont turn on!
Try restarting your iPod while it's still on the charger. Hold the middle button and the menu button down for about 7 seconds (maybe a little longer). This should fix the problem.
Reboot
try a re-set. Toggle the hold switch on and then off. Then hold down the center button and the menu button at the same time. Keep holding them until the screen flashes, then release.
If this doesn't work, try an alternative power source. A wall charger, or a speaker dock maybe. Sometimes a USB cable just can't transfer enough power to get an iPod to re-boot after the battery is completely drained.
Ipod Photo Troubleshooting
That icon is almost certainly indicative of a hard drive problem, and it will need service. I don't see a reason for the warranty not to cover this. You should insist with apple to take responsibility. If they shirk, we should at least always give them a hard time about it, never make it easy for companies to screw us - ask to be explained exactly whats their diagnosis of the problem and to qoute their policy that says why they won't cover your problem.
I hope it works out, but here's a link to apples support site with some other things you might want to try - http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93936
Good luck
How to figure out my passcode for a a 80gb iPod please?
Question edited for clarity and spelling of 'figure'.
Question moved from Audio Players and Recorders.
You as the owner who set the code is the only one that can figure it out.
Connect it to your computer. Log into iTunes, and do a hard reset on it. That will scrub it clean and reload the operating system. Then you can Restore from back up with no passcode.

How do i delete all songs on ipod shuffle and then reload? I want to empty it and start over as if new
Generally speaking, people will clean up their iPod with iTunes to erase the old songs and add new songs. iPod users have two ways to delete music from iPod with iTunes, and they can be helpful when iPod users want to get rid of the unwanted songs. iTunes provides automatic and manual methods to help iPod users manage the songs in their devices. When you are using the automatic way to manage iPod music, every time you connect iPod to computer with USB cable, your iPod will sync with iTunes Music library. If you have your iTunes Music library organized, you can delete unwanted music from iPod with this easy method. If you want to manually edit your iPod music, you can check Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically in iTunes by clicking Edit > Preferences > Devices. Then you can manually sync the songs and playlists to your iPod with iTunes.
