Yo should do the following:
1. Flip the on/off switcher to on
2. Hold the "forward" button
3. Plug in USB cable

Now your player is recognize by PC (though you should format the drive to be able o use it).

Have you checked the file specifications' that the player can play? Some players can play jpgs of a specific resolution or color depth.

1st - make sure the hold/lock is not engaged

2nd - you might need a patch to get that to work with XP:

on the q music thing go to help and it gives a list it might work

go buy a new player not from benq

The songs are in the wrong format - convert to mp3 and you'll be fine

Make sure hold/lock is disengaged

Then reset - check you manual, because BenQ no longer carries the manual
