I have dell gx 260

You need an AGP 8X graphics card for one.

AMD ATI Radeon series:

1) Better: XFX Radeon HD4650

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4914257&CatId=2234

A) 1GB (OR 1024MB) of DDR2 graphics ram memory
B) 128-bit bandwidth memory interface
C) 320 Stream Processors
D) 600MHz Core Clock
E) 800MHz Memory Clock
F) 55nm process technology

3) Best: HIS HD4670

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6076197&CatId=2234

A) 1GB (Or 1024MB) of DDR3 graphics ram memory
B) 128-bit bandwidth memory interface
C) 320 Stream Processors
D) 750MHz Core Clock
E) 1600MHz Memory Clock

Likes POWER! Better install a 500 Watt power supply, to keep up with the power needed for this baby!
The GX260 supposedly has a 250 Watt PSU. (Power Supply Unit)
Back in the day this PSU was made, the PSU manufacturer 'fudged' the maximum rated wattage.
Actual is more like 60 percent of what is stated.
175 watts!

The above is just IMHO about graphics card choice.

(I have motherboard's with a PCI Express x16 slot, using the PCI-E 2.0 technology.
I use Nvidia graphics cards)

Computer boots up, no display,

Hi,

We could not confirm on the hardware failure by the Capacitor's appearance. Need to check if this card is being detected at the BIOS level. If its detected then the problem is with the drivers, if BIOS fails to recognize then problem to be with Card , or rarely could be with PCI slot of the Motherboard.

All we have to do is check if the system is able to get to BIOS page. Keep tapping the F2 or DEL key, the moment you turn it ON and look for the Graphics card.

Please let me know the output.

Regards
Riztech

Spider-man Web of Shadows Does not run properly on

First try to lower down the resolution. Set texture or other detail feature to low then rise up each function to medium or high one by one and also check gameplay in the meantime also.

Our niveda driver cd not sucses to load driver in

The driver cd for that model will not have a windows 7 driver anyway I suspect as it was made well before windows 7 came out. Go to www.nvidia.com and select your model of card to install an up-to-date driver.

What standard audio driver can be install on my

There are a couple generic audio drivers. But before that why are you looking for standard audio drivers? Regardless which OS you are using (Win XP, VISTA), you will find a generic set of audio drivers included with the OS. This is for basic audio output. If you have a specific audio card installed you should be using the drivers from the manufacturer to get the best quality from the card. Although odds are you do not have an add-on audio card. Chances are you are using the audio out puts supplied on the motherboard. This is far more common now because motherboard manufactures are able to get pretty great sound from on-board mounted audio processors.

If this is the case then those are the drivers you want.
If this is a pre-built system you should go to the computer makers web site and grab the drivers there. If it's a home brew computer check out the motherboard makers web site.

If you want to download the best possible fit for the majority of on-board audio as well as add-on cards that would be Realtech. Just click the link and when the web page open click the check box. When the next window opens find your OS and click go for the drivers.

http://www.realtek.com.tw/DOWNLOADS/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=23&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

Steps for installing audio drivers that came with the OS:

  • Click "Start" and "Control Panel." Then double-click "Administrative Tools" and "Computer Management."
  • Choose "Device Manager" in the field on the left-hand side of the screen.
  • Look for "Sound, video and game controllers." Click the plus sign (+) next to that field. This will expand a list of devices under sound, video and game controllers, which will include your sound card or on-board sound device.
  • Right click on your audio driver in the list and select "Update Driver."
  • Follow the instructions and Windows will automatically search for and install any driver updates.
I hope this helps.

Try that and see if you can sort it out from there. Hope this helps!

Nvidia FX5200 DVI 1680 x 1050

Sounds like an issue i get but when using dual monitors. Most likeley windows just doesnt support that resolution with DVI. As you stated.

There may be some update but most likely not. There probably isnt a solution really.

Now, if the background image is not set to strech or handle that then you need to use a different background.

Some default back ground images for windows arent set to go to a certain size or dont resize correctly.

Try opening the display settings and tinker a bit if you havent already.

Cooling fan makes noise

peel back the sticker on the middle of the fan, and use a graphite based lubricant on the bushing.

Also there are smaller stick-on type fans that can be used. Normally for cooling chipsets.
