Until you have your PC recognizing that it has a microphone input, regardless of the actual mike being attached, it will never use one.

Find the Sound properties or get into the software that controls your soundcard and make sure it supports a mike and that the level is not tuned down.

Make sure your mic is plugged into the correct port.

Go into your Control Panel, Hardware and sound, Sound, click on the "recording" tab and make sure your MIC is enabled and set to default.

Make sure that you have the microphone plugged into the RED socket on your computer. On the right hand side of the taskbar, right click on the little speaker icon, and press open volume controls. Make sure that Microphone is not muted and that the volume level is adjusted right.

Selling Manager Pro subscribers can print as many as 200 invoices or shipping labels at one time from the Sold View.
To print multiple invoices and shipping labels:

1. In the Sold View, check the box next to the listings that you want to print invoices or shipping labels for and click the Print button.
   
   To select all of your Sold items, check the box in the heading bar above the list of sold items
   
2. From the Print page, select the printout you want, and click the Continue button.
   
3. In the pop-up window that appears, use the scroll bar to preview each of the pages that will be printed.
   
4. Once you are satisfied with how the pages will look, click the Print button in the browser window.
   
5. If you need to edit information for a specific page, go the corresponding sales record. When you are finished updating the sales record, save your changes. Your changes will be reflected the next time you print.

Try searching again using Google, using BT 9843, but when you look down the results ignore the two letters and see if you can find an IC which is the same numbers, even if it has different letters on the front. Those letters could be just the makers letters, with the device made by different makers.

If the brightness is all the way down, simply turn it up. If not this indicates an issue with the device and you should take it to your local tech repair shop

Try the BLUE jack, then the GREEN jack. You won't hurt anything if you guess wrong. BTW, are the sub and speakers powered up? Pilot light showing they're on? Some speakers are powered by a USB port - any loose USB cables laying around?

It could be just dirt, or a dry joint due to some physical damage!
