Philips hdtv flatscreen for a spa
I was searching some for help with my GTW-L17M103. It too went black. I could not turn it off (power light was green). Thank goodness, I found your solution, except I need a little more help.
I opened my monitor, removed the metal cover and found F3. I see what my daughter refers to a little "white bridge" with the letters FA2 or EA2.
My questions are:
Is this the correct part that needs to be replaced (2 amp fuse)?
Where can I buy it?
What instrument or tool do I need to replace the part?
You mentioned you could not find a surface mount (not sure what that is), therefore you "piggybacked a 2 amp pico fuse on the blown one and it is working great".
Where can I get a 2 amp pico fuse?
I'm not a hardware guy but I'm not afraid to work on electronics.
In advance, I thank you for this great service you provide via the forum.
Gateway gtw l17m103 light out
For the solutution repair of the Gateway Model GTW-L17M103 TV 1/2 lit screen - I was told by a local authorized Sanyo Flat Screen Repair shop that the lamp or bulb is going out and needs to be replaced. He said the replacement would run around $125. I have the same problem as well and now am seeking to purchase a lamp/bulb.

Hello Christian, for the failure that you describe, it would seem to be a problem of power supply, you could have the capacitors swollen, this condition can generate the failure that you comment
If you have technical knowledge, you can replace the swollen capacitors and some other nearby
I send you a video
I hope you can recover the monitor as soon as possible
