Hey! I have the same problem as you. But! this would happen only when I got a power outage. Unplug the TV for a couple of minutesand all was fine. For the last 5 day I have no TV. I have tried everything. All the out on the TV and I still get unusable signal. My rep told me to unplug for 24 Hours. Still didn't work. My menu option work as well and every time I put the TV on, off or if I change the input sound will come on for 2 seconde and stop. If I find the salution I will let you know. Gilles Ottawa

If bulb is new, try resetting bulb life timer by owners manual, If needed, test and/or replace the ballast which controls power to bulb.

If bulb is bad, the brightness to picture will be less, it will blink occasionally, wont' start within the predetermined time and so on.

On your remote press option or menu find picture scroll through and find the bightness

Good day!!!!That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..1. Open the back cover of your TV.2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

High pitched or even fan like noise usually means the Color wheel which are hard to find/expensive for this set.When you shut set off noise should wind down as the wheel which turns at over 10,000 rpm slows down.Color wheel

A fan like noise can also be a color wheel which depending on brand and model number (can you confirm brand and model number?) may or may not be sold as a part.The more you tell me the better I can help you

The problem is fixable. I think your TV has a bad T-con board and, or CRT.

One of the two above mentioned is a possible cause of the problem you are facing with your TV.

Do you intend fixing this yourself, or you want to take it to a repairman?

Observe if the TV goes off at a particular period, then Check if the timer is 0n then put it off

ON YOUR REMOTE GO TO MENUE GO TO HEAT SETINGS AND LOWER YOUR SETING TO WARM,,,THIS SHOLUD SOLVE THE PROBLEM....

Check Lamp Fan and If Lamp has never been replaced ,then you could have Bad Lamp Mats has them for $89.00 1-800-629-1118. If they do not have Lamp then Look on EBay.

the color wheel if failing

sounds like input problems, if its working with your BR hit the source or input button on your remote and toggle the inputs until you find your cable input its probably going to be hdmi or component

Are you using RCA type audio cables?, if so, make sure the connectors are tight and the cables are not frayed, it also helps routing those analog cables at least 8 inches away from any power cords or transformers. Buzzing usually is caused by loose ground connections or RF interference.

sounds like the lamp or ballast, check the lamp first to see if good, then if good, then probably the ballast is bad, but I think the sound or buzzing is coming from the ballast, so it's should be good.
