there are so many reasons why your TV won't bring out sound. You need to troubleshoot first, in order to get to the root of the problem, before a solution can be proffered.

First, connect a DVD player to the TV, observe if there is going to be sound. If there is still no sound after connecting the DVD player to the TV, proceed to the next step. "The reason why I asked you to connect a DVD player to the TV is to confirm if the problem is simply not from the audio cord connected to the TV."

Second, get an headset, connect it to the earphone jack of the TV and observe if there is going to be sound. If there is no sound, then it is glaring now that your TV is having a defective sound card/IC that's why it is not bring out any sound. (Note that connecting an headset to your TV is optional because not all TV's has a space for headset). "The reason why I asked you to connect an headset to the TV is to also confirm if problem is not from the TV speaker. Though TV speaker problems are rare but sometimes, the TV speaker might be defective or the speaker wires may have loosed contact or cut into two, due to one reason or the other. But if the headset doesn't bring out any sound from the TV, then it is not so."

If none of the above seems not to be the cause of the problem, then the above troubleshooting has confirmed that the TV has got a defective sound card/ic. The sound IC/card of the TV has to be replaced for the TV to bring out sound again.

To be honest with you, replacing or fixing the sound card/ic of your TV requires the ability or experience to do so.

These sets are well known for Bad High Voltage Trippler and Bad FBT Flyback Transfomers.

Thats usually caused by the STK730-130 IC which is located on the Convergence power supply board. Replacing that may solve the issue. You can get the STK730-130 at www.tvrepairworld.com under the Integrated Circuit catagory.

This problems u have is known as Convergence problems,it dead.The tv convergence board require changes 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors to solved the convergence problems.The shop will cost u $300-$350 for parts and labors.

You have a convergence problem. Please see a tech about reworking the convergence board or better still, have them install a refurbished board. The refurbished board will usually have a six month warranty! Thanks for asking ,and fear no TV tech, as you are armed to get a straight answer.

Try this with TV off Press and Hold at same time ch- and vol - until TV comes on It should either let you into service mode or start convergence Automatically

The cicking sound comes from the relay starter . Its like a Fluro tube starter.It is tying to start but because it is damaged can only witch on and off without firing up the display. There may be other parts associated with this when it fails and is not really a DIY job if you are not into electronics

its s usually to the right or left of all the buttons (channel, volume, menu, etc) it might have a tinted plastic small square covering it, i take it your trying to program a universal remote

try unplugging it from the electric wall outlet for an hour then plug back in, this should reset your tv back to factory default, you will have to adjust your setings if you changed them

This is hte beginning of a convergence problem. If you can solder, try resoldering the pins on the convergence ICs. These are large black ICs attached to a heat sink and will be marked STKxxx. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the ICs.

This could be a convergance problem, if there is such an adjustment described in the manual and it doesn't work, make sure the optics are clean.

Sounds like one or more of the keypad buttons are sticking - That would also cause the remote control to stop functioning.When you saw "P:0 V:0" you somehow managed to put the tv into the service menu. Pull the keyboard away from the plastic buttons and make sure nothing is in the way.

Fuses very rarely go bad on there own. They are there to protect the rest of the TV set when there is a short circuit and then will not damage the rest of the TV set. You could have a short in the main power supply. I'm afraid that if you do not have any solid state repair experience, this set will need to see a pro to diagnose the problem. Good Luck

i have an alinemenet problem with my rca tv P52929 i went to the book and it said to go to the menu and select 3 which is the screen menu then select option 6 which is the adjust projection tv. this is suppose to allow you to adjust the the tv's three colors. it says to select the green centering to adjust the green tube. blue for the blue and red for the red. it says to center the green first then adjust the red and blue tubes until the test pattern on the tv screen appears white. i hope this helps you. my problem is that the program is not in my tv. it has everything else but not the option 6 to adjust the tv. this may be your problem to. good luck.
