Do u want to resolve the f-13 fault code on HOTPOINT Washer Dryer units
Fix the fault . It is a tricky job but the heater thermostat switch has tripped as it senses something burning. Probably a little bit of fluff on the heater element inside the heater unit.. There are 2 switches on top of this heater unit. One where the 2 blue wires go on the top left of the 3rd picture and the other which has a tall black wire connector on shown in the middle of the 3rd picture. Remove that connector and undo the holding screw . You can then reset the switch. The switch is a small circular switch hidden beneather the connector on the photos. This thermostat switch has a yellow. red dot ontop of it. If you use a small pin or needle and press into that dot you will hear it tick back into place. you have reset the switch now. You will probably need to clean the inside of the heater element unit to get rid of the fluff particles or it will keep switching off. To take this apart you will need a set of Star screwdrivers. Its a bit tricky but you will be able to undo the star screws and take them all out. I will add some photos to show you the unit apart. You can see the build up of fluff on the photos i have added from my hotpoint WD860 heater unit. This is a tricky job and takes about an hour due to the screw being awkward to take off and put on again but mine hasnt faulted for 2 years since sorting it out. You can buy a new Thermostat switch which is about 10 - 20 pounds sterling from Hotpoint or other spares stores. code-f13-hotpoint-aquarius-washer-dryer-brswrwcy453xu5qdcnkktuei-3-0.jpg code-f13-hotpoint-aquarius-washer-dryer-brswrwcy453xu5qdcnkktuei-3-2.jpg code-f13-hotpoint-aquarius-washer-dryer-brswrwcy453xu5qdcnkktuei-3-5.jpg

Doubtful. That's long before digital broadcast was implemented. You will need an adapter box.

if it turns off in the same amount of time every time, and can turn right back on, check your sleep settings... it is a feature that turns the tv off for you.

The width of the picture is less than normal. It can be adjusted by entering in to its service menu options. But, entering service menu options and adjusting data values there is a skilled task. It will be best to contact any expereinced service techinician ot do this. Or Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Check this link and select the site. View it in 'Flip card' option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu at the left top corner or the display window. It will make search easy. If you are confident that you can do this, just proceed. If not, do not tamper the TV.

The problem on your tv is the leaky electroltytic capacitor on the regulator section.
Replaced the capacitor on that area and your unit will be back to normal again.
If you don't have an experience in electronics find a qualified technician to do the job for you.
Have a nice day!

I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps

You did not mention which input you attached the RCA cables to. If it was component it would be one selection, if it was composite it would be another. If you do not have your operations manual you can find the manual at http://www.retrevo.com/samples/RCA-TV-manuals.html Download it and starting on page 7 look at the diagrams they show for hooking up the DVD. Inspect your hookup and make sure it is correct. If it is then follow the procedure they give for selecting the device. Using this manual you should be able to sort out your problems. This unit has quite a few inputs but they all should be available on the menu. I suspect that you are looking at the wrong one. Get the manual and look at the pages that I mentioned. Let me know if you need anymore help.

Sounds like you have a bad picture tube. It would not be worth replacing.

Check the main fuse and see if it is blown. It should be a 4 or 5 amp 125v fuse. Thanks for using fixya.

I would check the set up menu of your cable, satellite receiver set top box, they usually have a format selection in the menu and it sounds like you want to set it for 4:3 ratio format, but just find that adjustment and play around with it until you get the picture to look as you want it.If you haven't allready also check your TVs menu for the same adjustments. Good luck and Merry Christmas!
