The part you need is called the "F" connector and costs about $2. The problem is that this part needs to be soldered to the tuner board. As long as the board was not broken when the connector was dislodged, you should be ok. This is a simple repair for a shop. Not so simple without some experience. Check around and see what the least expensive repair will be as you already know the problem.

Dust does cause some problems but not this mabe bad audio ic or bad speakers or capacitor near audio ic or bad tuner could cause this sorry for so many suggestions I oun a video repair shop i gave you all the things it could be

Hi it seems like a bad tube.You could get tube fixed but it never will last. tubes are not worth spending money on

There is no adjustments on this model if horz is off i suspect a bad capacitor in around the verticle ic.


I fix a lot of these tv at my shop. cost is around 120.00 at our place.

That is an ITC008 chassis and the problem you're referring to is called a breathing picture. One fault I am aware of in this chassis/model is the connector Bl103. I have seen a couple where the connector failed and had to be replaced. Could open it up and locate the conntector and see if it's vibration sensitive.

The ITC008 chassis is commonly riddled with poor solder connections. Good soldering station, patience and some good light and magnification and you might be able to fix it... Or you could spend a few dollars and run it into the shop and have a tech do it! It's not an expensive repair.

This tv is know to have circuits burn out

If you still have the warranty, use it

Otherwise a repair will cost about $150

I am having the same problem with my RCA 32V550T. This has been the worst purchase I have ever made - it was an expensive TV at the time that I got it and it only worked for a few months. It may or may not come on. It may or may not have sound. It rarely works but If per chance it does come on it will work maybe from 15 mins to 2 hrs. depending on it's mood - yes I think it is possessed. It turns on and off at will. I keep it unplugged most of the time because I worry it may be a fire hazard. I have had it repaired but the problem persists. It's a useless but expensive heap of junk taking up space in my living room. I had a great RCA VCR that I bought many years ago but contemporary RCA products are not the quality they used to be - be smart and stay away from them.

please go according to procedure 1 isolate h/output section supply. 2 check power supply output is ok if not repaire it. 3 after power supply is ok 4 check hor osc, driver &output if problem repair it. 5 check for loose contact or print break. 6 connect supply to hor section. set will work fine. good luck.

Yes, you can adjust the picture by using your remote going to settings, or "Adjust" when your t.v. turns on and off by itself could have'ft to do with nasty weather near you, or the cord is loose and it needs to be pushed in all the way.

it is due to loose contact near 1 anrena or cable socket. 2 cable wire loose. 3 loose contact near tuner. 4 tuner b+ line or agc line loose. 5 horihontal hold tunning is not proper.or control loose. hope this will help. good luck.

There might be a bad (loose) connection in the RF isolator or the tuner (both are silver boxes. Try to unplug the coax and bend the RCA tabs in so that the connection gets firmly made when reconnected. This may help. If it does not The connector may have to be replaced.

OK the tuner may be causing these problems, however first I would like you to go to your menu and set the RF pickup to antenna (This will allow analog channels) then come out of the memu and select a channel in the analog range channel 4, 7, or 9 try to tune in these channels. If this fails then you may have tuner problems the only way to be sure is to use a RF signal generator to send RF through the tuner and see if the video and audio being carried on that signal comes through. Sometimes the Internet connect gets messed up when the TV does not have the proper RF filters this may be your case. Try this use a Cable tv set top box and just set your TV to channel 3 for cable. This should Isolate the TV from the Internet cable modem and provide the signal needed by the TV.

This might be a control processor problem you may have to get a schematic to see what the voltages should be as measured with a multimeter. I would say that this is a control processor problem.

Yes your set is having audio output control problems this can be caused by the audio processor not responding to the control voltage output of the control processor. You will have to check this voltage as you adjust volume. I have seen this happen and it could be a bad capacitor or the actual IC (Intergated Circuit) might be bad. After measuring the control voltage if it varies then the audio processor is bad and has to be replaced. You will need a schematic to tell you what the proper voltages should be. Also a multimeter to test the voltages.
