Programming For TV
1. Turn on the device to be programmed.
2. Look up the brand and code number(s) for the device on
the code list at the end of this section.
3. On your remote control, press and hold the device button
you want to program.
4. Enter a code from the code list.
5. Release the device button, and then press ON•OFF to
see if the device responds to the remote control
commands. If it doesn’t, try pressing the device button
and then ON•OFF again.
6. If you get no response, repeat these steps using the next
code listed for your brand, until the device responds to
the remote control commands.

I checked the diagram and the user manual located at http://www.voxxsupport.com/images/User%20Manuals%20-%20FAQ's/D770_DOC_OM.pdf and no mention of a sleep mode is made.

Oh well. One less thing to worry about.

hold down code until it stays lit, then press tv then keep hitting channel up or channel down (either one can be used, keep pressing channel button til tv changes channels when it does press enter, or ok if enter is not there, it may take awhile maybe a few channel pushes up to 200 and up times, you use this method when you don't know the code for your tv. Hope this helps.

Check out http://www.remotecentral.com and look for your remote and your TV, the code is for the TV but is geared to work with your particular remote, so look under your brand of remote and then find the code for your particular TV or vice versa. They should also have the instructions on how to set the code into your remote and you may find a manual there too.
