How can I hook my jvc 1024v receiver to my rca flat screen TV. It's a very old receiver but I think it can be done. I want to hear my through this system.

Probably pretty easy. On back of TV see if there are RCA AUDIO OUT plugs. One likely is red, one white. Run a RCA cable from those to your AUDIO/AUX IN connectors on the receiver ( Be sure to turn off the internal speakers on the TV. More info here: https://www.lifewire.com/connect-tv-to-stereo-system-3135127 Good luck!

I have a Rca RC651-A clock with an ipod docking

Do not take it apart. Instead contact RCA and explain what has happened, including having lost the receipt. They should be able to see it gets repaired or replaced. However if you have opened it, that will break the warranty that came with the device, regardless of the shops policy. And RCA will charge you for the repair.

Everything works normally if watching cable but if I change input to DVD there is no sound now (recent problem). It seems to be the RCA audio inputs that aren't working (no sound from DVD or VCR). Tri

The phono-sockets, aka RCA sockets have a female pin in the center. Sometimes, these tube-shaped metal pins become stretched or oxidized, causing loss of contact. Option 1: The easiest quick-fix you can try is to briefly squirt the socket and cord-plug with Servisol or similar evaporating contact-cleaner, then repeatedly twist, push and pull the plug in and out to 'scrub' the potentially oxidized surface. If that doesn't work, option 2 is possible if your sockets are open at the back of each socket, ie: not sealed / molded types. Option 2: Unplug power, remove cover, locate phono sockets. If center pins can be seen from rear, try crimping slightly with needle-nosed pliers, or use a dart point or pen-knife to 'push' the pin-barrel slightly closed. Testing: Make a test-cord with plug removed, connect an AV audio source temporarily by hand to the suspect socket's connectors, observing polarity of center and screen. If molded plugs are suspect, try levering pin-barrel more closed from front end if possible, or if totally kaput, renew sockets.

I have an RCA model 1285 mini stereo. It has bad FM reception. It only has a wire coming out the back for FM reception. How can I add an antenna ?? Most antennas require two contacts!

Actually most use the AC Ground as the other "phantom half" of your antenna... Of course YOU will not get access to that circuit because errors there could cost your life. You COULD try stripping back some of the insulation and extending that single wire to a longer wire? Wire placement will be a factor too so try moving that longer (and stock wire) around for BEST reception. Here is a link with some insight: How to Get Better Reception for My Single Wire FM Antenna Techwalla com I tried to find a "service manual" and schematic to help more, but I could find none... these items are mostly throwaway now because the cost of labor and STOCKING specific parts is too expensive! How can I get my RCA 5 disc CD changer stereo to work right?

I have an RCA 5 Disc Changer, purchased at Target. The first one had a prolific issue of skipping on discs. It would play part of song on the first disc then suddenly change to the next disc. However, it did not ALWAYS do this, just sometimes, seemingly at random. Then one day, it would suddenly work just fine on all 5 discs. Eventually it simply would not play an entire song at all, so I took it back (within the time of the warranty). They had 1 of the same left on the back shelves so was able to get that one. This one started doing the exact same thing within the month. Now, it will not READ discs. It will simply read, 'Read"..and then when it comes up showing the disc number it has all zeros. I tried skipping to the next disc and then the next, and suddenly it read. That was fine for two days, then it would not even do that. I tried using compressed air inside all of the open disc drawer, and on all the discs but to no avail. Just now I tried tilting the entire unit Back at about a 30 degree angle and while in that position hit the 'disc change' button on the remote and suddenly it read. How long will this work? Have no idea. Very irritating - and it's hard to find this kind of player anymore, apart from a Component System which is a whole new playing field. Amazingly , I had bought my first changer, a 6 CD changer, cheap one at wal mart long ago and it lasted me about 10 years and never had a problem. It was a no-name brand too, I would expect better from RCA but alas, tis not the case.

If you are comfortable, unplug the unit, remove the top cover and you may be able to push with a small tool from the inside and remove whatever is stuck.
