Buy a CD cleaning kit, this will clean the plastic laser lens that is hard to get at, hopefully this will clean any dirt on the lens and bring it back to operational mode.

The audio output ic pack is shorted that is located near the power transformer. The ic pack must be replaced, but it will need to be dismantled to get at the part.

Remove the back panel of the unit. If the fuse replacement blows again as soon as you turn the unit back on, you might have to troubleshoot the power supply. Good luck Mike!

This one is fairly easy for you! Go to Radio Shack or similar place and get a cable that has an !/8" (3.5m? they may call it) Male, (which is what your I-Pod should use, double check this when you go look at them...some I-Pods use 3/32"), then at the other end you need what they call RCA ends....plug the RCA's into the front AUX IN jacks, plug the other into your I-Pod, set your stereo to AUX and enjoy!

I hope I'm not too late!! It is easy to pull the cover off of the little guy.there are (6) screws on each side. and I think (1) on the back. NOTE where they came from...there are LONG, MED., and SHORT ones......it is easy, just take a little piece of paper and note where they came from. Once you have the screws out, just sort of lift it offby GENTLY puuling the tads from under the front face plate.Then take a Q-tip and clean the pick up lense. (It looks like a tiny class eye sort of). I've done this to mine several times. It sounds difficult, but once you get at it, you'll find it IS easy!!

Sounds like a bad filter cap in the power supply.when you change dimmer switch the buzz changes slightly because of a different power sraw on the power supply. If you are not versed in electronic repair. Get an Estimate. Or if unit is old get yourself a new one. Good Luck
