Red "not available" message on screen
The reason the TV doesn't respond to the remote is that the set is busy trying to change channels (or scroll through menu options.) because one of the channel-- up/down "button" is stuck on the front panel of the TV. They are very delicate, and respond to the slightest input. (You should see the CH light on the front of the set.)
So, I had the same problem, and just finished following the advice for fixing this problem by using a hair dryer and pen knife to remove the strip covering the "buttons."
I have to admit that I was afraid of what damage I might do in removing the little strip from the face of the TV, but I only paid $114 for the set at Salvation Army, and it's otherwise a great set, so I had little to lose.
Trust me, you can't hurt anything by removing the little panel. Just take your time, and let the heat do the work, lest you crease the strip. (It took about five minutes for me to get it off.)
I chose to disable the front-panel controls altogether by simply removing the little pads that activate the switches.
The pads look like tiny little rubber bands, about 3/8" across, and will stick to the double-sided adhesive when you remove the strip. (Don't worry, they are not attached to the set, and you won't be destroying anything in this process.)
I suppose you could always get replacement rubber thingies, but I'd just as soon use the remote, and avoid future hassles.

Every time i change channels on my tv the screen
Your channel display mode is set to auto i'd say.
Go into menu and find >
TV System.
Go to
Display Mode.
go to
Aspect Mode.
now you may choose what aspect you would like to watch you tv in.
You will have
4:3 PS
4:3 LB
16:9
and
Auto.
I go with one of the first two, as 16:9 is widescreen and Auto is a bit random as you found out. These are only rough guidelines as i don't own a Samsung TV. But all setting are mostly the same on all TV Sets.
Hope this helps,
Hughie.

Picture Size
Normallly, if the format button on the remote for the television does not achieve the desired affect, then, a cable box or a satelite box is where the change needs to be made.
For example:
A Motorola Cable box needs to be set up to go to a wide screen when an analog signal is detected.
It's difficult to determine the repair without knowing the hook up of the peripherals.
Hope this helps.

Xbox 360 screen cut off on left side
Ok, I've had the same issue and I was able to fix my problem. I was getting cut off sides in HD mode on my playstation.
I entered the service menu by doing this:
Turn TV Off
Use remote and hit "Mute 1 8 2 Power" (not at the same time, but one after the other)
The TV will come on with the service menu. Enter the 1080i adjustment screen. Write down ALL the values in case you mess up. Adjust the values as necessary to fit your screen. It's sort of like adjusting a computer monitor's image for different resolutions.

High Pitch Sound From Samsung TXN3071WHF 30" TV
I think its the flyback and its starting to leak. this is a component responsible for the high voltage of your tv set. always observe safety in dealing with this. Have it check by a qualified technician. Good luck!
