capactors have blown on mains power board look for raised tops there is 4 to replace ( 1000mf 10v ) you can replace with 1000mf 25v
they look like little batteries with line on one side
make sure line is on same side when replaced ( take picture first )

It sounds like the hdmi port on your tv would need to be replaced, I don't know if warranty will do that, if you where outside of warranty and Do it yourself minded, then you could open up the set, find the connector, order a replacement and replace it with a new one.

it does have quite alot of pins on it, it wouldn't be the easiest job around.

A local repair will do it definitely, don't know how much he would charge, probably one to tree hours.

unfortunatly there is nothing that you can do people may offer you creams and stuff of that nature but nothing really works im really sorry and i wish you the best of luck!

MOST LIKELY THE POWER SUPPLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE REPLACED OVER 6O POWER SUPPLIES THIS YEAR, VERY COMMON PROBLEM.

The problem may be not in your TV but in your receiver, if you use a cable or satellite receiver. Sometimes those also have similar settings for picture mode - it's rare, but I've seen it.

If not, then it must be tv's zoom mode is just set to something other than "standard".

the capacitors are going down in the mains power supply if you open tv look for raised tops on capacitors ( look like little batteries ) and if you are going to replace then your self get same ones there is number on side (e.g 2000mh 25v ) and there is i line on them make sure you put back same way good idea to take picture
