I know at Best Buy they have universal remotes... Try looking there

my dvd on my combi is not loading it just says loading when you press the close button please advise thanks

Try this. This works on some brands and models.

Power up the unit. Using the remote, press and hold the 'STOP' button for about 5 seconds. Release and press the 'OK' button.

Can be that the drive belt of the loading mechanism has broke,take it to a technician to open unit

Does the unit have power.

make sure your signal is through orange rca or optical cable and play a true dolby sound

Some DVD players cant read some DVD s and then it shows either "loading" or " no disc"..
it generally happens when you want to play "A copied DVD/CD " taken from somewhere else..
Just to make sure that such DVD is ok ,you can try to run them on your laptop.If the disc itself has problem, laptop does not read either..
Just in case,quick remedy ,pls Clean your DVD player's LASER lens .. A clean DVD player Lens ensures that your DVD disc would be read properly. Unfortunately, your DVD player's Lens accumulate as much dust and lint as the other parts of the DVD player. There are many available DVD lens cleaner kits that you can purchase and use to clean your DVD player.
YOUR DVD disc itself should be clean and finger prints free as well....

if this remedy does not help and if your set has still under warranty ,consult to service they may replace the LASER Reader EYE...most of the time Laser Eye malfunctions and does this..
if it is not under warranty ,never ,never have someone repaired it..go buy a new one,It will be cheaper.. ...

In order to watch either DVD or VHS on your TV ,you need to make the following connections ..

• You need to connect "DVD Player / VCR Combo" to" TV " as (Audio/video output of DVD Player / VCR Combo -TO- Audio/Video input of TV) ..
  

• use either "RCA analog (red/white +yellow ) " or "SCART "or "Optic " cable.(any standard optical cable )...if exist ,optic is the best way to connect it..Remember your DVD Player / VCR Combo 's "OUT" goes into" IN "of the TV ..

• pls also remember,wherever you connect your DVD Player / VCR Combo on your TV ,you should switch the source selector accordingly to correspond to the connection on the back...

There are three possibilities for this trouble with this DVD player. The first one is imprper loading function due to loading motor or loading belt trouble. If loading motor is weak [that is its pulling power has gone low] the tray will not close properly into the mechanism, and will not touch the load sensor switch fitted inside the mechanism. If this happens, the main system control IC will detect improper loading and will turn the tray out again to load it properly. Just try to close it without a disc inside the tray, and check whether it closes well. If it does so, or the trouble repeats, change the loading belt first. In most cases, this will retify this type of trouble.
The second one is, bad 'Sled' motor. sled motor is one, which spins the disc inside the mechanism. After proper loading, if the disc do not spin inside it, again the system control IC will sense it, and will eject the tray. The sled motor also is a replacable part.
The third one is, damaged gear wheel in the loading gear section. to detect and repair any of above trouble, you have to open your DVD player, and take the DVD mechanism out of it, and is somewhat semi-skilled work indeed. Good day. You might need to purchase another remote control so that you can access your dvd / vhs combo. I'm afraid that the remote is already broken due to normal use. You can also try to have a technician to check it for you but i suggest you bring it to a samsung authorized service center. Hope this give you a bit of help. Have a great day.

Well first of all you may try the following steps-
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
Attempt to open the disc tray.
If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons.

If the above steps do not works then there may be some mechanical problem in the tray. Please post further comments if the above steps not worked.....

Yes, it can be repaired, one common fail is that the keyboard is dirty inside, try to open carefully the remote control, sometimes it only has one screw or none, the rest are plastic clampers located on both sides, you can use a plastic knife to try opening, after that you can easily remove the pad of keyboard and clean it with water and neutral hand soap, the electronic board can be cleaned with an alcohol wet cotton, if all this doesn't work there's an electronic component failing and have to be replaced.
If you want to avoid the former procedure you can get a universal remote control compatible with your DVD/VCR combo.
