The scroller and some of the top buttons will not work without the driver. Many other buttons do work fine without the driver. This is an old keyboard and I think they only made a driver for Windows 2000.

If the backspace key is not working they keyboard is probably defective.

Are you saying that everything worked under Vista? As far as I know this keyboard has not had an up to date driver since Windows 2000. When you do not run the driver the scroller and the top row of buttons will not work but the other features will work.

When you do run the old driver the scroller will work, the some of the top buttons can be assigned to other functions but some cannot. Also, when the driver is running the forward and back buttons only work for Internet Explorer.

short of insuring all your win 7 updates are laoded and installed , got to device manager and update the driver. choose search the web option.

to use PrtScr you have to hold down shift while pressing the PrtScr. This will put a copy of your screen into the clipboard. To actually print the screen you then need to open the Paint program in windows and choose paste to paste the screen into this program. You can then print the screen from there.
As a side note you cell phone camera also is a great way to get a 'screen shot'. I've used this before when there was no other way to print my screen. :-)

any mouse will work if it has the right plug into the computer connection, get a new one at walmart or best buy

I'd forget Windows 10 if I were you. Information on you is collected and sent to Microsoft even if you turn them all off during installation. Nobody gets to spy on my computer. That's why I won't upgrade to 10. As for drivers, you may have to go to Micro Innovations website for drivers , if they even have them. I have a perfectly good dye sublimation printer I cannot use on anything later that win 98 because of the lack of drivers.

No need for driver download, the pc should automatically detect the mouse as an inout device.
