Sounds like a power supply problem. If you know how to test solid state componets and make voltage measurements. Unplug power, open the lamp door, take out the bulb and put it back in place, plug back and restart, if it does not start there may be an additional fault.

With the tv off, press on the remote Mute,1,8,2,Power
This enters the service menu.
The factory reset option is in there.

Check your computer to see if you have an S-Video out. If you do this is certainly an option. Let me know if you have more questions

I charge 285.00 at my shop ,so if you cannot fix it your self you are looking at repair anywhere from that price or more .You have 2 STK ics these are your convergence Chips .You would need to replace both of them.If you can solder you have it made.

You have bad convergence ic's. You can take the convergence board out yourself and take the part to a repair man to have him replace the ic's. I've had it done twice on my tv, it cost about 200 bucks.

Most of the Time STKs need to be replaced 2 of them STK392-110s ,they are big black ICs order parts on line or call 1-800-223-3205 or 1-800-628-1118. Also Ck all low ohm resistor around ICs 2.7 ohms usually there is 2 of them bad.

My 5 year old Samsung HCN4226W is not coming on (no picture and no sound). When pressing the "ON" button, I can hear a "click" like it wants to come on, but nothing happens. HEL

sounds like the alignment of the convergence in that area needs to be preformed or you have a speaker or something in that corner

Good be just about anything. This set is common for the regulator IC, the STR-X6456 regulator IC to go bad for starters, the flyback transformer goes bad and takes out the horizontal output transistor sometimes and then blows the main 10 amp fuse. I have also seen the convergence IC's go bad then the set dies because the main fuse blows out, the power supply will go bad because of a surge. If you have no TV repair knowledge, play it safe and have the set looked at by a pro. Good Luck

The convergent board needs to be replaced

IT SOUNS LIKE YOU NEED THE Convergence Module BP9500415B BP95-00415B

The TV slowly, all by itself, ran closed caption on the major stations.
Unable to turn off through the menu as that option was greyed out.
Now all channels have this unwanted closed caption.

Any similar problems and ideas.

Same unit different problem

Customer replaced Lamp ***'y still unit bliks, there is two reason.
1.if your lamp door not closed properli it will blink.
2.watch for ballast ***"y fires the triger to on the Lamp? if not your old lamp is good repalce Ballast..
