Are you setting the printer to A3 when you hit print? When you select print you will get a on screen box where you can change options and then confirm by clicking print. Most printers are set to default legal size.

I had a similar problem on my 3640 and had to run the clean cycle about 20 or so times. If you feel you are capable, you can also remove the print head and do a manual clean. YouTube has a few videos on how to do it. I have done this to one of my printers with very good success.

These codes can be indicative of a faulty sensor or damaged part. But let's try this: I have had similar issues with my MACs and HP printers, however I have often fixed the problem by re-installing the printer software and/or deleted the printer from the printer list in system preferences. If you have the Epson disc fine...if not, the OS should be able to "find" it for you via the internet. try re-installing the printer software. BUT you say that the scanner works via the computer. Best solution: (Did today June 2015) Call Epson support, raise hell, tell them that this is ridiculous, that it is a flawed product with design defects, you must rely on a dependable printer, that this has cost you losses and you are about to change brand etc. They will send (Fedex) me a new one, and I do not need to return the defective one! One FixYa answer was this: 0x9D is a stuck ink cartridge holder (carriage). Turn the printer off. Open the scanner to expose the carriage. When it moves to the left during post up stop it by pulling the power cable. Move the carriage it all the way to the left, close the scanner and then power it up. It should move freely now and work normally. BUT... the error is like the red (????) light on a car's dashboard...It could mean the above jam, paper jam, bad ink cartridge, a needed re-install of the epson software, a bad internet connection, bad phone line, etc... Lastly, it could mean junking the printer if it's out of warranty. You could opt to have epson fix it, but that's up to you.

Hi. I don't know if your printer is new or old or if this was the first time you replaced the cartridge or this has occurred after several changes. Most if not all printers will have this occur after replacing a cartridge if the ink had been depleted for some time and allowed to dry up in the jets. Sometimes all it takes is a day for this to happen. I have found that I must go through several cleaning cycles to clear the clogged jet(s). So, try doing a few cleaning cycles and see if that solves the problem. Another cause for a printer not printing after replacing a cartridge is surprisingly a FAULTY or remanufactured cartridge. There should be a program on your computer that displays the cartridge condition, cleaning procedure and ink levels. Give that a look over.
