Remove complex number
Do you mean the "C" on the display? This indicates the calculator is set to use compound interest for the odd period. To switch to using simple interest, press STO EEX.

How to get out of rpn mode
On a 12C Platinum, press f [ALG]
On a non-Platinum you're stuck. It has only the RPN mode.

Ti 83 plus charger
The TI 83 is a calculator, not a battery charger. If you want to use rechargeable batteries with it, you have to take the batteries out and charge them using a separate battery charger.

Change from comma to period
Turn the calculator off, press and hold the decimal point key, press the ON key, then release both keys.

C in lower right corner
Two separate issues here.
The C indicates the calculator is using compound interest for the odd period. To switch to simple interest, press STO EEX
To switch the radix mark, turn the calculator off, press and hold the . (decimal point) key, press the ON key, then release both keys.

Two zeros
You're in the scientific notation mode. To get out of it, press f followed by a digit representing the number of digits you want after the decimal point.
