You need to determine if it is a charger problem or a problem in the Nuvi. If you have the AC wall charger, plug that into your Nuvi. If the unit boots normally, then you can discount that there is a problem with the Nuvi. Does the Nuvi power up on its own internal battery with the charger disconnected? When you change the fuse and it blows, is the charger plugged into the Nuvi? Try changing the fuse and powering up the charger without it being plugged into the Nuvi.
