Hello Roz If there is some thread caught in the bobbing case area, the best solution is to remove the bobbin case and disassemble the bobbin case area. This is shown on page 16 of the manual. Look for articles quoting hook, base and bobbin case. Youtube is excellent on things like this. There should be a clip either side to lock the piece in place.

If the needle threader is not moving into the appropriate position to thread your machine, I believe you may require a serviceman to take a look at your machine. In the meantime, manual threaders should work sufficiently although more challenging for a busy sewist.

If you really are a "do-it-yourselfer" I would suggest getting a service manual for your machine (search the internet - try sewusa.com). The manual will describe what adjustments are available and how to get at them. Note that the covers on most machines are held by screws and hidden catches that have to be pried open.
