Can't seem to deregister the used HS I bought on Ebay since I don't have it's base.

1. To de-register the orphaned handsets from their old base: When the orphaned handset says "Connecting..." or "Out of..." enter *331734 [menu] and it will soon beep and display "Not registered" 2. To register the new handset to your base: press the "Handset Locator" button on the base and hold it until the "in use" light comes on ( ~ 4 seconds ), then release the button and set the new handset into the base phone cradle. After ~ 30 seconds it will beep and display "Handset #" (next in sequence). 3: Note: the base handles a maximum of 12 handsets. If your system was fully populated ( ie, a handset is already # 12 ) you will have to clear all the handsets from the base and re-register them all in sequence. ( it is the only way to 'rescue' the places occupied by the lost handsets ). To clear the base of all registrations: 1. Press and hold the the "Handset Locator" button until the "in use" light lights and then starts to blink ( ~ 10 seconds ), release the button -- then press it again briefly while the "in use" light is still blinking. 2. The base will beep and all handsets that were registered will display "Not Registered" 3. Follow the instructions above for each handset in turn to re-register them: press "Handset Locator" ~ 4sec ( in-use light on ), set handset into the base cradle, etc. The manual is available from: www.manualslib.com but does not fully describe these procedures. Good luck !

How to clear ALL memory from 4-set of (now disconnected) AT&T Model CL82401??

There is a way to delete all calls in the Caller ID log. With the phone system in standby mode, press Menu/Select (key to the upper right of the arrow keys). Scroll (up/down arrows) to Caller ID log. Press Menu/Select again. Scroll to Del all calls and press Menu/Select. You should see a Delete all calls? Press Menu/Select to confirm. There is no corresponding way to delete all old speed dial or directory listings. The manual for the CL82401 is available here: https://att.vtp-media.com/media/p/document2/products/%7B60627918-4BDE-494D-8537-E265D7649708%7D/CL82201_CIB_2_611.pdf . See page 42 for the information on deleting the caller ID log. See pages 36 and 38 for the directory and speed dial items. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Where can I get a replacement power cord for a handset dock for an AT&T phone model : TL96217

Try AT&T direct https://telephones.att.com/shop The second link might work, but it is a $28 gamble. The first link says specifically that it isn't for the handsets, but doesn't show the end connector! https://www.google.com/search?q=AT%26T+TL96217%2C+replacement+power+cord+for+a+handset+dock ..

Standby mode At&t CL8`301

Do you mean the AT&T CL81301 Cordless telephone? This model doesn't have an answering system. You'd need to adjust the number of rings for your voicemail system through the telephone company's system. See the manual here: https://att.vtp-media.com/media/p/document2/products/%7B40A22BFC-681D-46DC-B836-7CB7C7A691FE%7D/CL81101_CIB_5_610.pdf . If you mean the AT&T CL82301 or the CL83301, first make sure that the system is set to Answer On. Do this with the base Answer On/Off button or through the Menu system (see below for accessing the Answering System menu). You'll need the Answer On/Off line in the handset menu. With the phone system idle (no calls in or out, no one using another handset), press Menu/Select. Use the Up(DIR)/Down(CID) arrows to navigate to Answering Sys. Press Menu/Select. Navigate to Ans Sys Setup and press Menu/Select. Navigate to # of Rings and press Menu/Select. Use the up/down arrows to choose the number of rings and press Menu/Select to Save. Press Off/Cancel to exit the menu system. The manual for this cordless telephone system is available at ManualsLib, https://www.manualslib.com/products/AtAndt-Cl82301-165464.html . See page 47 of the manual, https://www.manualslib.com/manual/643600/AtAndt-Cl82101.html?page=53#manual . Note: if you choose Toll Saver, the answering system will pick up after two rings if you have new messages. It will pick up after 4 rings if there are no new messages. I hope this helps. If you have a different AT&T CL8 * 301, please add a comment with the correct second digit in the model number. Cindy Wells

Whenever I place a call and am asked to dial an extension , I keep getting the message to enter the number and am unable to complete the call.

Do you hear tones when you press the buttons to dial? Many phones have the option to dial by pulses instead of tones. Make sure your phone is set to tones.

I need access code to get to voice mail on answering machine - I have at&t dect 6.0 model SL82318

If you need the remote access code for the answering system, then the original (default) access code is given in the manual on page 50 (page 53 of the PDF) and on 55 (page 58 of the PDF). See the manual online at https://att.vtp-media.com/ecp/documents/product_Product/364/UserManual/5977/SL82118_manual_i10.pdf . Unfortunately, if the remote access code has been changed, the default code will not work. As far as I know there is no way to reset the SL82318 remote access code to the factory default remotely. See page 50 of the manual to reset the phone's access code when you are using the handset. When you use the handset and start to change the code, the current remote access code will be announced first. Any voice mail system would be accessed using the phone number and codes from your telephone service provider. This information will not correspond to the answering system of the SL82318. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Unable to get a dial tone on my never used att cordless phone my uniden which is on the same line has a dial tone

Reverse the polarity of the phone wires. -Some phones are sensitive to this; others do not seem to mind. I believe you should reverse the red and green.

My AT&T Answering System 1337 has a steady buzz - how do I get rid of it?

Check your ground wire where the phone line comes into the junction box outside your house. It is either loose or corroded. It should be clean and clamped to a ground stake or water pipe like for an outdoor hose faucet. Check both ends of the wire. Without it, the phone system's impedance is so high that it will receive the 60 Hz hum from any electrical appliances around the house that are within a few feet of a line on an extension phone, answering machine or even an extension phone outlet wire running through a wall. These make great receiving antennas. good luck.
