Do you mean the Bernina 801 Sport? If this is the correct machine, to remove the bulb, you need to push up on the bulb and then rotate counter-clockwise. Then pull down on the bulb. This bulb is large enough that you shouldn't need a special tool to push the bulb up into the socket. When you put the bulb into the machine, push up and then turn clockwise until you reach the stop.

The manual for the 801 Sport is available here: https://www.bernina.com/en-US/Support-US/Out-of-Print-Manuals/BERNINA-manuals/BERNINA-Sewing-Systems . The current link to the manual is https://www.bernina.com/getdoc/8fdb6352-a532-4575-9854-b96eaa0a2b75/BERNINA_801_manual . You'll need to extract the zip file and look at page 40 (page 19 of the PDF) of the second part of the manual.

I hope this helps.

behind where you insert the needle into shaft when first putting one on. theres a screw behind that, if you turn it far enough the needle assembly part will come off

if you hear the humming of the motor but nothing else happens, your motor belt needs replacing. when you step on peddle the motor belt begins to spin causing the needle to start to go up and down, etc everything flows in sync because the belt is what starts it all

Request the threading diagram directly from Siruba.

Check that you are installing the needle correctly, that the machine is threaded properly. Use only fresh, good quality thread--no bargain bin or old thread. Be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading the top thread. Check that the bobbin is loaded and threaded correctly. Make sure the feed dogs are up and the stitch length is set to at least #2. If you are still having problems, it could need some adjustment.

Thread nesting on the bottom (wrong) side is typically top thread not being pulled back by the take up lever due to insufficient (or zero) top thread tension.

If it is the bobbin thread, then test the bobbin thread tension. Most likely the thread has escaped the bobbin tensioner spring or the tensioner needs adjusted.

To be certain it is bobbin thread, as a test try using a contrasting color of top thread.

Follow manufacturers instructions to adjust bobbin tensioner spring.

See following video on testing tension

The embroidery unit has two pulse motors (pm), x and y. Y goes up and down, x goes left and right. So the machine is not seeing the y pulse motor moving. This could be the motor itself, a bad cable, a circuit board or a mechanical bind.
Probably needs to be serviced.

Request instructions from the manufacturer/distributor.

Check the belt between the motor and the rest of the machine hardware. Check that the foot control wiring and rheostat isn't damaged. The most common problem is that the belt failed or is loose on the pulleys. Sometimes you do need to replace the foot control. If you add a comment with the manufacturer and model number, I may be able to find a source for the parts.

I hope this helps.
