Please help
the chances are you may have what is called a bad hypermodule. it is a signal board that controls signal processing. does the picture apear"wavy" then clears up. The way to repair this is to repair this board is to replace 11 microcaps. NOT EASY technicians have truble with this repair... twezzers and manifying glasses. ideally the best thing to do is to replace this board... but they are very rare and difficult to find. so if you can find a good tech that can solder microcaps or if you can find the board those will be the options

your convergence amp ic's./if you want to cheat/align the other two colors and manualy move the green yoke rings on the green picture tube neck so the green cross aligns with the red and blue.,they shuold form white when all three are aligned,on top of each other.
Big black box on screen
It has something to do with the closed captioning. He must have hit the closed caption button on your remote. You need to either turn the closed caption off or make another selection under closed captioning like cc1 cc2. Just keep making selections until the box goes away.
57H82 Menu does not display
My best guess is you missed a connection on the mico IC cotrolling the OSD (On screebn display)... Scour the inside, I mean pack a luch and literally look it over real good... If you find nothing take a break and start again... My money would be on that!

Convergance problem
Could be bad amps - or a yoke return resistor is out of value. Need to get out the meter and test the resistors out in front of the amps for true value..

Shakey screen
Needs to have the hyper module repaired... There are a group of caps on the hyper that need to be replaced... The hyper module is a stand-up board on the left looking in the back of the unit just behind the jack panel... Need to remove it and send in in for rebuild or attempt the repair yourself..

I replaced the two STK IC's but now I don't have a pic or sound at all.
Gilberto,
Is it actually convergence that was out?? This particular model has a hyper module that can go bad causing video distortion but usually not just bending the blue, red, & green light like a convergence problem...
The Hyper board is a standup-up board on the left looking into the back of the TV, located behind the jack panel plug-ins. It has a metal cage around it and inside that are several 10mf/16v caps that go bad... Their board locations are:
Cx261
Cx230
Cx270
Cz52
Cx178
Cx221
C514
Cx250
Cx670
Cx241
Cx541
The board is no longer available so techs simply rebuild those boards using mini radial camcorder caps.
If you're dead sure it's only convergence I'd say to check the amps over again and take an meter to check the yoke return resistors. One or more may be out of value feeding the amps.
Anything else let me know...

Your set has pico and micro fuses soldered in ( various locations) depending on what circuit B+ supply is being "watched"...the amperage can vary from 2 to 5 or more...
Went all white, then no pix suggests you lost the 200volt
source B+ that goes to the RGB pcboards = one on end of each CRT.......Some websites offer SM's = search your Model # then service manual.........HTH>...........T.

I would look first to STKs and the 5 amp fuses. There is also a bulletin at repairworld.com and splodeman.com.

Wavy Lines showing only on with DVD player
this is a common problem i see at the shop it involves what is known as the hypermodule. there is a group of 11 capacitor.. these are surface mounted and very small and difficult to replace. in an ideal situation replaceing the hypermodule would be best.. but if if understand right this is no longer availble. 2nd option is sending the board in and leting a technician replace caps..3 and most difficult is replaceing the caps yourself.. i do not recomend this...i would recomend 1 and 2
