Updating the firmware and ensuring power to the TV, and make sure that the cables are plugged in correctly. Unplugging the TV and everything that is attached to the TV for about a few minutes to see if that makes a difference.

HI Mark...I think I know what's going on with your TV but to rule out a power board issue test the 13 volt rail, it runs all the time so it can be tested with the set off, this model set uses the eay64009501 power board, it's incredibly simple and gives very few issues so I don't think it's the power supply making the set not work. I believe you have corrupt data in the EEPROM causing the somewhat erratic issues your having, if that's the case replacing the main board will correct the issues, make sure to get the exact model main as it uses a couple different ones that aren't interchangeable...Good luck!

Unplug your TV and also the external components for about 30 seconds and then disconnect the HDMI cable from the TV and move it to a different port. Plug everything back in and change the TV to the new input to see if that fixes the issue.

I think that it might of had now stopped working and that is had completely died on yo guys and it would be more cheaper and easier to by a new one vs trying to repair the one that is no longer working anymore.

The LED and the board are no longer working for your TV and are going bad too. You should buy another TV than to try and repair the TV with the screen that is broken.

That is called lag. it often happens on Bluetooth, satellite or Internet based television where the internet isn't fast enough for the quality of the broadcast. Often, you can fix this if you have a Pause feature. Pause for 5 minutes.

When you say buffer boards I assume your talking about the boards on the bottom of the panel. Those aren't buffer boards. Three things can cause your issue, bad connectors on the ribbon cables going from the tcon to panel boards, bad main board or a bad panel, a guess is you have panel issues as that's the most common problem on sets with no video if it's not the tcon.

If the screen is too dark on the TV or the brightness keeps on continuing to change then the problem here is with the Energy Saving mode settings. By default the TV does set the Energy Saving to Auto, which means that the TV will automatically by it's self does adjust the screen brightness depending on the brightness of light it detects.

If your LG TV is turning itself off, try the following

1. Check the AC cord is plugged in properly
2. Ensure the AC cord isn't damaged
3. Test the power socket
4. Reset the TV
5. Deactivate Quick Start +
6. Disable the auto power off
7. Disable the power off timer
8. Clear the cache
9. Update your software
10. Factory reset the TV
