Take the batteries out the remote and see if your TV is still doing it....It might be a button sticking on the side of the TV itself

Power is out, Power Lite blink red

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Blinking codes details to many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

How to start t.v without remote

If the set has been shut down by its remote control for the last time, you should have a remote control to start it up again. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service center, or authorized dealer to your device brand. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have. Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its user manual. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. If you see the site by "MOSAIC" view, will make surf easier. http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/

Logic locked tv is locked ineed apassword

Locate the manual for your television. Though slightly embarrassing, accidentally turning on the child lock to a TV is a common problem. The section In the manual about how to set the child lock feature will also explain how to unlock it. Try a few "universal methods" for unlocking the child lock. Some televisions have a universal code built in for disabling the child lock --no matter what your code is. A common code is "0000." Unplug your television for a few minutes. The internal battery of the TV is what helps remember what your code. If the TV is unplugged for an extended period of time, it clears the internal memory, which in turn will reset your child lock code.

How do i inputting to channel 0?

I am not familiar with your particular tv,however on most TV's channel 0 is equivalent to putting your tv on video as apposed to rf (or regular tv channels). Most will have a remote setting for tv/video or it may say source which would give you the option of rf(tv) or video.

My toshiba tv will play the picture but no volume

First make sure that the tv is not muted.Internally the sound is separated from the video after the IF circuitry and passes thru filters and audio amplifiers before getting to the speakers. If you are not familiar with circuitry you would need a tv tech to troubleshoot the circuitry.

No picture but has sound

First make sure that the brightness and contrast are turned up.If the screen is lit up (that is you have a raster) then the problem would be in the video circuits. If the screen is not lit then you have a problem in the deflection circuits.A good possibility, with no raster, would be the Horizontal output amplifier. If you are not familiar with circuitry you would need a tv tech.to do the repair.

Screen white tinted, horiz lines, then shuts off

Not acutally a solution. We are having this EXACT same problem; it started this week. Let us know what you are having done. I've called Toshiba and service reps but they are all quoting a price which is almost half the value of the tv. Have you been able to fix it? We are pretty upset since the 2year warranty recently expired. Obviously, it seems that others are having this problem as well. Email us: [email protected]

My toshiba 65in will not respond to my remote

The infrared sensor to your TV might be bad. It should be replaced. It is an easy to get part, and is cheap to buy from any electronic spare part shops. To access and replace it, you have to pull out the front panel PCB. In fact, you have to open the TV to replace it. The component will look somewhat like this.9_25_2012_12_43_33_pm.jpg9_25_2012_12_43_54_pm.jpg9_25_2012_12_44_12_pm.jpg9_25_2012_12_44_46_pm.jpg

The remote control does not

Hello, you need to make sure what is broken, the remote control or the TV. To check the integrity of the remote control, you need to broadcast from the remote control while he aimed at the video camera. If you see a flicker of light through the camera it shows the integrity of the remote control. In this case the infrared receptor need to be replaced, he is placed near the stand by light.in a rare case the problem is at the 5v voltage that goes to the receptor. more rare is the possibility that something is wrong at the microprocessor circuit. . If the remote control out of order, can be opened carefully by a thin screwdriver, usually the causes to the error are loose components or contacts that are supposed to weld back into the board.
