Sound is one of the most important aspects of video production. This video demonstrates how to connect 2 mics or audio inputs to a camera that has 2 XLR inputs. I use a Canon XA series camera to show how to mix and match mics for optimal sound. Incidentally, while recording the camera with my lav. mic cut out, so you can hear the audio change as different types of mics are used. The video is designed for the beginner to understand how to get better audio from a camera./ For more information visit: http://www.sterlingteaches.com/online...

Tip

You can try removing batteries and then try the update again. Firmware updates must be the only thing on the SD card and the update package must be unwrapped. Read the instructions carefully. Sometimes a second update will work, but Firmware updates alter what happens before the operating system loads. Usually, the device has to go back to the maker.

Has it been formatted ? If you have read it in your computer without setting write-protect, the computer will have written hidden files to it which the camera cannot understand.

User manual. Normally, the spring contact goes on the negative and the positive is the flat end. It is shown in the diagram anyway. https://www.nebotools.com/product_images/9016156_User_Manual.pdf ..

Not familiar with the model but I think most point and shoot cameras are similar to each other - if that is so you should find a delete option in a menu when you are viewing the picture you want to delete. You can also delete by connecting to a computer or using a card reader with the computer and and deleting single pictures or whole files.

The device is not meant to have the battery changed (?!). However, I am going to drill out the holes where the screws would go and try and change them myself. It doesn't not make 'consumer' sense to me to have this unit without being able to change the battery. It has a 5 year battery life but I only need this unit once in a while so in 5 years I may only use it once or twice.

Google make model manual but.... MSDC stands for Mass Storage Device Class. It is the most significant part of camera, which is required to bond camera and computer. If there is any damage/corruption in internal File System structure of the card then MSDC fails to detect the card, so MSDC read sector or MSDC write sector error in memory card arises.

If it is saying "non-playable file" it usually means the format the photos are saved as isn't one the player recognises. Basically, The photos are in one language and the player doesn't understand it. If you or someone you know is good with computers the photos can be reformatted, (translated), into a form the player understands. It isn't a hard thing to do and most laptops and computers have software built in that will do it easily and quickly.

There's probably a port for a cable to attach...USB/HDMI/? Depends on the camera. Try to figure out the attachments needed on each end, and order that cord from Amazon. Or, just take your camera to Best Buy and let them help you. Normally, once you attach the cable to the camera and computer; your computer will recognize it. Then transfer the pics to a designated folder for viewing. Hope this helps.

First, eliminate some of the possible causes: 1. Is the battery low or dead? Use a fully charged battery. 2. Is there an obstruction causing the lens from3 opening or closing - such as sand or other particles.. They have to be removed. 3. Did you drop the camera? That might damage the zoom gears or put the lens out of alignment. Do not shake it. If this has happened, an expert tech might have to disassemble it and adjust. This could get expensive, depending upon where you had it done. 4. Is there an uneven gap between the lens and the lens housing? Turn it off, place it face up, look. If so, apply gentle pressure at the highest gap in order to snap it into place. You should hear a click. Power it on. If it extends and contracts power it off, then try to move the lens in a circular motion until it clicks. Power it on. Twist the largest lens ring until it clicks.

Take the card out and check if the lock switch is in the locked position. You need to move it to the unlocked position. That means moving the switch away from the SD card pins and towards the back of the card. If the lock is damaged or loose, you may need to replace the SD card. To see what the lock looks like, see https://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1102/~/sd%2Fsdhc%2Fsdxc-memory-card-is-write-protected-or-locked . Sometimes, you need to use a computer to format the SD card. This can happen when the card was initially formatted to be used with a different device. Then return the card to the camera when the camera is off. Follow the steps to select the Custom setting and format the card again in the trail camera. See page 20 of the manual, https://www.stealthcam.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2017/12/STC-G42NG-KPT.pdf . The last thing to try is a firmware update of the camera. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells
