HELLO

Your TV must be switchable from PAL I (UK) to PAL B/G. If your set cannot be changed over from one transmission standard to another, then you will NOT pick up any transmissions.

Though if you want to you can use it via scart/AV connections to satellite box of some type and that will get around the problem.

ALL THE BEST (:-)

The tic tic sound is a device called safety switch that keeps turning your TV off because an internal fault, such as a defective component or a wrong voltage is detected.
When is like that we say the tv is in protected mode.

Start unplugging TV power cord for one or two hours (it is called hard reset), this will drain power from tv and seset internal circuit, and sometimes can clear the error message, if the fault was only temporary.

If the problem does not go, then you have to troubleshoot the problem, probably some component inside the tv is faulty and may need to be replaced. If you want to do it yourself is better to buy the service manual.
Here you can buy parts and service manual.

If you need to call for repair you can use the phone number listed on the TV owner manual.

nothing can destroy your tv. you can connect anything if connection is there. We connected the TV with a VCR and a DVD player. Usually we switched it to the Video 1 for nothing instead of turn off the TV. Is TV still working in this way? Will this destroy TV? I appreciate any of your helpful comments can you clear the above sentence so I can help you.

It could be 2 things...
1. Bad filter capacitor on Verticle B+ supply.

2. Bad Screen voltage Capacitor.

That problem is in the vertical section. Check for leaky or dry capacitor(s). Check the capacitor(s) with values less than 50uF.
Good Luck.
