Buzzing noise coming from my speakers....

I just did this last week, i had the same problem all you have to do is grab some speaker wire and wrap it arround the RCA's(around the metal or gold piece outside the RCA) that go to your voice AMP and then ground the speaker wire(the one you wraped the rca's with). this will work. NO Noise filter will work cus I tried it

Reset parental controls, power goes off automatically

Okay, start with being locked out. The master code should override so try 8025. If that is no good, try 0000.

Now, if neither work, and this one might solve both problems, unplug the phone for at least 8 hours. This should reset to factory settings, so again try 8025 or 0000 or 1234 even. It depends on the where that specific N2750w was manufactured.

Turning it off for the 8 hours may also fix the tv staying powered on. If not, you probably need a new power supply for the unti. If so, either deal with the issue or bring it to Best Buy or a repair shop, if it is no longer under warranty with Viewsonic. But I really think those codes would get you by. Again, if they don't work before you unplug it for 8 hours, try the codes again.

Happy Holidays!

Plug tv in red light on ,press on button green

Look at the power supply first; look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. Look for 5vdc, 12vdc, and 24dvc.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague
If you do have the voltages then the problem can be the main controller board.

When turned on, it make a ripple sound

The class D sound amp circuits are bad, it is part of the main board, very expensive, this is a common problem with this model, I fixed two of them, usually after 30 minutes it will soud like motor boat.

Power but no picture or sound

Look at the power supply, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. You must have at least standby 5vdc on one of the power supply output connectors.

LCDTV turns itself on and off

You could order a power supply yourself and install it, but if the tech on the phone was wrong it would cost you a lot. Better to at least inspect it yourself.
If you are not familiar with electronics it could be tough to pin down the fault. Over-the-phone diagnoses are really only 50"50.

It COULD be any of the following:

Power Board
Main Board
Control Board
Control Board Wiring Harness
IR Receiver Board and or harness.

Visually inspect the power board for any capacitors that are vented or have shrunk cases on them. Check it for brown spots on the board itself. If there are brown spots you may have an overheating component. If it's s discrete component like a resistoror diode you can replace it. If it's an IC, you may have trouble finding it and might end up replacing the whole supply.

On the main board you can check all the connectors to make sure they are plugged in all the way. Make sure there are no overheating components.

On either of these boards, if you find dark brown spots you might want to consider replacing that board.

You can replace any bad capacitors you find easy enough.

Our shop would charge $75 labour and the cost of the part for a repair like this. A few hundred dollars for a circuit board is not unusual.
