I have a canon pixma MG7120 printer and it keeps saying theres is no paper in the cassette when there is.

You might find there are two paper paths or cassettes. In which case the machine may be trying to take paper from the OTHER one. If that isn't the problem, then the paper sensor arm has been dislodged and needs to be found and repositioned

How to connect to PC again?

Hi Elizabeth

There are a couple of ways to connect:

Run a USB cable from the printer to your PC. You'll need one of the interconnect- type cables that looks like the end of a thumb drive on one end and has a square-ish plug on the other.
Bring the printer up on a wireless network: The printers don't generally support ad-hoc wireless connections (i.e. direct from your laptop), so you'll want to handshake the system with your wireless router. The menus will take you through setting up the necessary passwords. Be careful here - the printer will only handshake across a limited number of encryption protocols, so you'll want to look at your manual for the particulars.
In either case, you'll need to download printer drivers, or (re)install them to your PC. in order to be able to take advantage of the printer capabilities. The Canon site for manuals, drivers, and software is here:

There are some decent utilities there for being able to run scans that dump right to your computer and the like.

check that the printer is "on", and that it's actually connected. Change USB cable for another one, plug into a different USB socket on computer. If no help, try on another computer.

No destinations are set.

I had the same problem. It turned out my printer was set to print on the "Canon Fax" printer rather than the regular Canon printer. So I changed the printer on the print box screen and was able to print as usual.
