I've got the same problem with my Alpine changer. It seems like a widespread problem, but known cause or solutions.

Dont know how to put disks in

You may download a copy of the manual here. The second page describes how to put discs into the magazine and the magazine into the unit.

NEED CODE FOR THIS

Changers do not require codes, so I am at a loss as to how to answer your question. Is it the head unit that requires a code? If so, what make and model is the radio?

Error 01 the magazine does not eject

A lot of times there is a gear inside of the changer that gets jammed. If you can, remove the top cover of the changer. On the changer mechanism (it will be on the right side of the changer) there will be a large gear (probably black) with an arm attached to it. Use a flat blade screw driver or something like that and turn the gear counterclockwise until the tray is back in magazine. You should then be able to put the changer back together and it will probably work fine.

Hello i have a bmw with a 6 cd auto changer

Copied cd's can't damage this part. The pick-up of this changer can't be repaired, it should be replaced as a whole part. Also please check a position anti-shock system (two mechanical parts on sides of the unit). It must be set in the same position as the changer is installed.

I kept the CD changer from my jeep when I traded

that depends on whether there is a tray loaded into the cd mechanism. if there is, you will either have to power up the changer or take it apart and remove it manually. if there is no tray going to the cd mechanism, you can use a thin flat object and slide it back and forth on the bottom of the magazine to remove it.

My cds are stuck in the player. They won't play or

Hi Texasgirl826,
There is nothing I can tell you to do that won`t damage the player.

I have one sugestion, go to a shop that installs car stereo, don`t go into the store, go to the bay where the workshop is and ask one of the installers real nice like if he could take it out for you, I`m sure he would.
It is a bit tricky to do it, but it can be done, without having to remove the deck and taking it apart.
Good luck.

The 6 disc magazine will not eject -

Ok..just happened to me. I'm a tinkerer so it's assumed that everything is out of warranty. The low down and skinny is this. The last disc holder is stuck on the metal changer tab, preventing the magazine to eject. 1. Remove the six screws on the left and right sides. 2. Use a small flathead screwdriver to GENTLY pry off the front Alpine CHM-S620 plastic facia.\ 3. On both left and right sides, collapse and push in the rubber suspension mounts. 4. Carefully remove the vertical/horizontal mount springs. 5. Gently pull off the data cable ribbon. 6. Flip over the changer unit. Use a coathanger to gently push the cartridge back into magazine. **You may damage the cd and last holder. Small price to pay to get things back to working order though. You may also have to wiggle the last cd holder to get it over the metal lip. 7. Reassemble in reverse order. 8. Change out that last cd cartridge so it doesn't jam again. Good luck.

I've had my Alpine CHM-S620 6-Disc CD Changer for

Well your changer has seen better days, but not dead yet. It can be repaired, but it's gonna cost ya. There are pro's, and con's in the debate between repairing, and buying new, but that's for you to decide.

Alpine makes some of the best, and longest lasting product's in the car audio industry, so getting it repaired isn't a bad idea, but the cost of changers has come down ALOT in the last 6 years so it may not be any cheaper to get it fixed. If you like the Alpine brand, then fix the one ya have, because Alpine no longer manufactures CD changers.

Changer scrolls thru each station but will not activate

sounds silly though are the discs put in the right way? i had the same problem and realized i was putting them in upside down lol, failing that take the cover off it, get a cotton bud and some methelated spirits or even deoderant does the same job, spray the cotton bud and wipe it over the lazer while the machine is off, its probably got some dirt on the lense its a common problem, try that and see if it solves your problem. :-)
