No audio output: installed driver already
Hello are you sure its the right driver ??You can download it here:http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail.aspx?CategoryID=1&DetailID=276&DetailName=Feature&MenuID=24&LanID=0This is the version 5,2 model.If the driver does not work select the right mainboard here:http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/ECSSearch.aspx?menuid=0&lanid=0&keyword=K7VMM+You have to know the right version model to optain the right driver.The number is printed in on the mainboard.The green outlet is for the speakers.Check also for volumen is turned down low or muteAlso check for any other driver installed especialy the chipset driver.Good luck

What is the upgrade cpu for this motherboard
The following processor are currently supported by this mainboard.
Athlon XP: 1500+ up to 2000+; FSB: 266 MHz
Athlon: 650 MHz up to1.4 GHz, FSB: 200 MHz or 266 MHz. Socket A CPU. See page 10 in you're manual (If you still have one). After going to Elitegroup and checking for the latest bios version;

Never flashed a bios? Instruction are listed on ECS web site.

My guess is your harddrive is dead.
Buy a new harddrive and make a new installation.
Then your pc will probably work again.

Motherboard won't fire up processor fan starts
even though its new could still be bad processor, power supply, or the motherboard its self.try to jump it without the power connected. should be pin 4 and 6. double check that though in your manual.jump it with a wire but dont touch any other pins or you will fry the MB.

According to the specifications of you PC's motherboard. It supports DDR266 PC2100 type of RAM and only a maximum of 1gb RAM can be installed. If you have 512mb total of RAM right now, it is advisable to upgrade for a better performance of your PC.
