Can't get ECS PM800-M2 to boot to SATA drive.

You need to make sure that your SATA drive has an Operating system on it. It can't boot if it only has a data drive.

I can't install a 500gb

When you install the drive, go to "Computer" or "my computer" and right-click on the icon.
From the dropdown menu, choose "manage".
Click on Disk Management. You will see your C: drive there and it will tell you what it is.
You will probably also see the new drive, but it will appear as unknown. You can right-click on it to initialize it and format it if it is not formatted.
There you go.

If your power is failing at a few minutes, you could have a bad power supply, power cord, or maybe a bad motherboard.

If you have a spare power supply, try using that and see if the problem resolves itself. Also try a new power cord.

Check that you have configured the connections properly.

If this does not resolve the issue, you may want to return the motherboard for a replacement through ECS or the company you purchased it from.

Thumbs up my solution if it is helpful!

Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

Want to make sure your drivers are in place and no errors have occurred? Simply click start right click on my computer select properties then select device manager scroll to Display Adapters and click on the small "+" you should see the model of your PCI Express graphic card there. If there is a problem with it, a yellow exclamation mark should appear besides it. If you don't see it everything is OK and your card is working properly. Hope this helps don't forget to vote

My mp800-m2 motherboard doesn't want

First, check the boot drives to make sure that the computer is not trying to boot from a different drive to the one that contains Windows. Check that there are no CDs or DVDs 3 1/2 inch floppy discs in the CD/DVD,3.1/2 floppydrives. Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose DeleteAfter deleting the keys, close the registry editorReboot your computerOpen My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone. hope this helps
