I try to install a second amplyfier to my car

i know it sounds like its too easy to be true, but try checknig all the fuses. sometimes cd players have fuses inside them also. i dont reccomend taking it apart, but if your desperate try it

When you replace a car radio that only has 2

Asked the guys at the local car sterio shop. Guy used to be an installer and gave me the the answer - you just hook up the front speakers only, otherwise you can short out the radio.

With the alpine cda 9851 if you turn the volume

bass boost effect drops out at 22 if you have an amp turn up the gain or you can set the bass treble etc with bbe off

i had the same problem couple of years ago take it to northfield or your local dealer cost 120 or you can force it open by pulling hard on it when u press the open button

did you check all of the cables to make sure they are connecting up in each door?

also did you remoev the radio to check anything - if so you might have knocked somthing

When i want to insert a cd the face wont open down,

Take the face off and use a pin to reset the player, or disconnected the battery for 1 hr that will reset the player

Then try and let me know

Cd problems

you need a FM transmitter in that way you just time you car radio you a empty frequency and you will be able to play your ipod on you car stereo.

Connecting mp3 player other than ipod to cda 9851

Please see Page 19 on how to toggle ON the AUX IN function on the radio

A KCA-121B (alpine bus to RCA) adapter is required.
-or-
AI-3NPUT (alpine bus to Female 3.5mm) adapter is required.

There is no alternate INPUT on the rear of this radio - an adapter is required... converting the changer port to an input.

Cd player won't open

Try disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes, the unit may reset when you re-connect the battery. Worth a try.

Peripheral's Connex2Car adapter to an Alpine CDA-9851

the alpine should recognize it as a "changer" when you select the source; ie: radio, CD, changer. Sounds simple, but have you turned up the volume on the iPod?
The Alpine adapter is $100, but works great, you can totally control all your iPods functions, and it displays all song info on the Alpine decks display.

Set time

just hold one of the numbered buttons while the stereo is on (i think 6) than it will start blinking. spin the volume than press the volume to go to the minutes.

Broken front release fascia button. How do I fix it?

only thing i can think of is contact alpine and get a replacement part of find the broken clip and try to glue it stereo parts are hard to fix because the componenent are plastic usaully .

If you look the harness from tha back,the YELLOW WIRE is located in the left corner UP
BLACK wire is below the yellow wire
