Nikon D3000 D3100 18-55mm Questions & Answers
My Camera has started adding alot of noise to all my photo not matter if its well lighted or not? why? help please...
This is GENERAL INFO for most small sensor CoolPix Cameras. You should use ISO 400 or LOWER. Any ISO over 400 will have Grain in you photos. If it is dark you need a tripod or surface to place the camera on with self timer.
You get ugly GRAIN with HIGH ISO... You get lots of NOISE with long shutter speed. I can take Good Photos at night (when I use a tripod) with ISO at 400. I can take 1 second exposures and they look fine. You cannot take good night photo without a tripod.
Language set up
Push the Menu button. Scroll to the Setup menu. Language on that menu. Unfortunately the menus and everything else will be it the foreign language until you reset it. If you have trouble and can't figure out or find someone who knows the language your camera is set to, contact the Foreign Language Department at your local college or university.
Can someone help me on my nikon D3100 freeze problem?
New battery that is fully charged. My Nikon D3100 has had the problem of freezing every ten or so pics since it was a couple of months old. Still does it today after six months of use. I take a few hundred pics with it when shooting but only shoot once or maybe twice a month. Have to take the battery out, put it back in etc. each time. Sometimes it allows me to power off and then back on but either way it's a pain in the rear and a serious "time waster".
Flash not working; used to work; done re
sounds like a bad capacitor.... it cant store the energy to make a
burst.... you could test by going to a camera store and see if a
external flash will work on the hot shoe.. if it does it will most
likely be cheaper just to buy that than fix the on camera flash.. and it
would be a much better and more powerful flash as well
I have a nikon d3100 , which o bought a month back
For the shake you might want to go to your local camera shop and have it looked at. It could also be that your shutter speed might be very low. For your second question It shouldnt cause a problem as long as your cameras sleep mode is turned on.
Hi, I bought a D3100 day before yesterday. I was
This sounds like mirror lock up, a very common occurrence if the batteries are dead, so try giving them a full charge (i.e. overnight or at least twice as long as it takes for the recharging light to go out). I
If that fails and the camera is brand new, then the first three months of intensive use are usually when any manufacturing faults show up, so take it back for refund or exchange.

Pictures are white after taking a shot. But when I'm in indoors it's quite normal.
Way, Way Over exposed. Read the manual for the mystery Nikon Camera and set the camera to Automatic Exposure. Film 'Speed' is measured in ASA Rating, 200 ASA would be standard for outside, 400 ASA for lower light, up to 1200 ASA for very low light like candle light. The higher the ASA Rating, the more grain you will get in an image. In the old days, we used a light meter set to the actual film speed of the roll of film in the camera and the sensor in the light meter told you what to to set the lens aperture and shutter speed to. Now with digital cameras, it is all automatic, or you can choose to go with manual exposure.
FULL 'make model (what it is)' in all questions please first 3 words.
Google
Nikon (model) manual
Read it it LEAST 3 times. Use the camera every day for a week and read it again.

I encounter a problem r07 using my Nikon D3100 with 18-55mm kits lens or my 55-200mm lens. How can I fix this? Thank you.
On Nikon cameras this isn't normally an error code. Have you got a memory card in the camera? Check that it isn't nearly full.
r07 common comes up as an information prompt referring to the memory space in the camera. '07' being 7 shots remaining.
If the card isn't full try this. Turn the camera off. Remove the battery. Remove the memory card. Leave it like that for at least 15 minutes. Connect the memory card to a computer or a laptop and check you can still look at and move the images that are on there. This is to check the memory card isn't corrupted (developed a fault).
