Turn your television and Apex DT250 receiver on.

Push the "Menu" button on the Apex DT250 remote control.

Press the remote's "Up" and "Down" buttons to scroll through the menu options. Stop when "Parental Controls" is highlighted. Press the "Right" button to select this option.

Enter your four-digit password. If you have not set your password, use the default code of "0000."

Use the "Up" and "Down" arrows to change or set the parental control movie ratings. You can select from "None," "G," "PG," "PG-13," "R," "NC-17" and "X." Once your setting is highlighted, press the "Right" button to go to the next screen.

Use the "Up" and "Down" arrows to change or set the parental control TV ratings. You can select from "None," "TV-Y," "TV-Y7," "TV-G," "TV-PG," "TV-14" and "TV-MA." Once your desired setting is highlighted, press the "OK" button to save your settings. Once the settings are saved, you will be taken back to the main menu. Press the "Exit" key to exit the main menu.

Apex TVs have parental locks that allow you to block certain programs based on their rating. When this feature is no longer needed and you want your TV to display all programming no matter its rating, you must unlock your TV. Unlocking your Apex TV is done completely from your remote control and does not require any tools. The process takes less than 5 minutes. • Press the "Menu" button on the remote control and use the arrow buttons to scroll down to the "Parental Guide" option, then press the "Enter" button. Type in the default parental code "6688" if you have not set your own code. If you have set your own code, type it in. If you set your own code and forgot it, override it by using "6688." Use the arrow keys to switch the parental lock to "OFF." This allows all programs to be viewed no matter the rating. Press the "Exit" button on the remote and start watching all your channels.

You can give any video input to your Apex TV. Component input must be connected ot its DVD in sockets at its rear panel according to the markings[Cr, Cb, Y] from the source device. Audio must be connected to appropriate audio in sockets, and select the input to TV respectively. OK.

Your local Home Depot will likely have fuses, I suggest googling and information about the specific type of fuse you may need and checking the store site to find if they have the item in stock.

T unlock your Apex TV do the following. Apex TVs use a four digit code to control the V-Vhip. For most models it is 6688. Other sets may not have one, or may have a default lock code 1225 instead of an override code.
To use the override code:-
Press menu key to get into Menu.
Go down to the 'System' menu, and hit the right arrow on the remote control.
Once in the system menu go for "parential Guide" It will ask you the code.
Enter the override code listed above. From here you can turn ON and OFF different rating settings and to set a new code.
No matter what the V-Chip code is set to; the override code will work. If you have a blank screen, showing a red Key on the bottom left side of the screen, simply press the [Function or F] button togetherwith mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as you desire. OK.

Push f then mute this will fix the problem.

Buy an exact remote at website 1-800-Remotes Factory original.Spend some money like about $50 make ur life and funsction easier to use.

try accessing your tv settings menu and look for audio settings. usually there is an adjustment that you can make for external audio speakers such as when hooking up to a sound amplifier or internal audio that accesses your internal tv speakers.

Keep pressing one for one for at least 10sec, if not works try to press two button simultaneously at least for 5sec.

Try loading a original DVD,if not OK them the laserunit is faulty or dirty.

i found out in my in dept probing around the line output transformer has gone so no tv it is to get recycled
