Apex tv pf2030 child lock
I'm afraid you will need the original remote control hand unit folks.
Apex TVs use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for many models is 6688. Other sets may not have one, or may have a default code of 1225 instead of an override code.
- To use the override code:
- Hit the MENU key to get to the menus.
- Go down to the SYSTEM menu and hit the right arrow on the remote control.
- Once in the SYSTEM menu, go to PARENTAL GUIDE. It will ask for your code.
- Enter the override code listed above. From here, you can turn on and off different rating restrictions, as well as set a new code.
No matter what the V-chip code is set to, the override code will still work. If you have a blank screen with a red key on the bottom left, simply press the (function or F) button and the mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as desired

Remote control chkt1a for apex tv does not work
You may have bad solder joint inside the remote and especially on the l.e.d at the front, happens often(remote dropped etc.).
If you have a soldering iron you can open it a make a round of the solder joints, it should fix your problem.
Hope this will help.

TV Volume goes up by itself and remote wont work
Hi,
There are 2 reasons that this is happening in respect to the problem commencing after your daughter has cleaned the tv. Either your daughter has sprayed the volume button with cleaner and fluid has got into the the graphite pad under the button and conducting as though the button is being pressed continuously..or she has put too much pressure on the button if it is a metallic plate contact switch. One way to find out is by pressing the down volume button.does it it click ? if it does.try the up volume..If that doesnt click the problem is the metallic plate is dented in making contact hence a new switch. Another cause ive seen is cleaning the remote control with cleaner and fluid has got into the remote and it sends signals to the tv all the time..If the remote control is hidden under a cushion and the problem stops, then the remote control is at fault and needs drying out..Hope this helps :)

Black and white
Your not getting color probably because of a weak "air" signal. The fix is a better antenna or an antenna booster.

Speakers
Hi Charlie
What happens when you gently press on the cone about the centre where
the voice coil connects. If the speaker is scratchy going in and out,
it will sound like **** also. This is caused by the voice coil becoming
misaligned with the magnet center piece in side the speaker. There is
no cure for a fault like this on that type of speaker. Replacement
required unfortunately.
Seeing as you have it out of the TV, I would as a confirmation that
they are stuffed, hook it up temporarily to another audio source, say a
HiFi system or portable stereo, just to check them. don't use too much
level as TV's only put out a couple of watts, and some HiFi's.... a
couple of hundred :) if it still sounds bad (it wont sound great either
whilst sitting in free air outside of its mountings), then it is
faulty. The audio output stage of the Tv will have a faulty output
chip, or perhaps dry solder joints about the output stages. Something
that can be fixed if you are experienced with soldering circuit boards.
Hope this helps you to sort it out. Ask me questions if you want, I am
happy to talk further to you about the issue. Cheers
regards
robotek

DVD Malfunction
If cleaning the lens doesn't help, you may have to try cleaning the slide that the laser assembly slides on. This would require taking it apart. When the DVD is inserted, the laser must read the index. If it can't then you get a "no disc" message. If this fails then the laser pick-up assembly may be bad or you have a problem on the circuit board.

I need to know how to change modes without controller when I'm using a dvd
Without a remote controller, you may have limited options to change modes on your Apex digital TV. However, you may be able to change the mode by using the buttons on the TV itself.
Here are some general steps you can try:
- Turn on your TV and make sure your DVD player is connected to it.
- Look for the "Menu" button on the TV and press it.
- Navigate through the menu options using the arrow buttons on the TV until you find "Input" or "Source."
- Press the "Enter" button to select the input/source option.
- Use the arrow buttons to select the input/source that corresponds to your DVD player.
- Press the "Enter" button to confirm the selection.
- Press the "Menu" button to exit the menu.
Note that the specific steps may vary depending on the model of your Apex TV. You may also consult the user manual for your TV for more information on changing modes without a remote controller.
