The lever button does not stay down,so the toaster

My toaster did the same thing. I cleaned the contacts on the mechanical switch with emery cloth and that problem was solved. Now I'm trying to figure out how to stop the breaker points on the mechanical switch from arcing - which I assume caused the problem in the first place.

How to take bottom off a cuisinart toaster model CPT-40

There should 4-6 screws to loosen. You may have to ring right type of head that will take it off.

I am trying to take apart the toaster, but...

You need to remove the four rubber feet at the four corners, and that's where the screws are. Get a small flathead screwdriver and pry the rubber feet out of their sockets and you'll see small screws.

Kitchenaid kettle not switching on. The base lights up when putting the kettle on but then just starts flashing and nothing happens

It's the manufacturers way of telling you, the appliance you love and use everyday has been rendered useless (by liability protection circuitry). Return for warranty repair/replace.

I made some yummy waffles in my kitchen waffle

Hi,
Unfortunately you have ruined a perfectly good waffle maker...
The coating in there is a teflon coating that needs to be applied properly for it to work...if you try to use it in the condition it is in then the waffle will stick to the plate...

Best thing to do is to trash the old one and then buy a new one...

My Kitchenaid Toaster only toasts on one side. The bagel button is not turned on. The element inside does not heat up. Can this be fixed?

Most non-commercial toasters are not user serviceable. There is likely a break in the element contact on one bank. If you like to tinker, unplug, dismantle and re-solder any questionable connections. Replacement is probably your only practical option.
