Bose Wave AWRCC2 CD "not playable"
I had the same problem yesterday on my new Bose Wave Music System.
I just kept on pressing reinsert everytime the CD got rejected and suddenly it started accepting CD's again.
Military time
I have the same problem. The clock changed to military time after we experienced a power failure. I have tried to correct it by holding down the "Alarm Set" button and hitting the "On/Off" button at the same time. It works while the buttons are pressed but immediately reverts to milirtary time. Any other suggestions?
Dead radio
Bose will not release their schematics or parts lists, effectively giving them a monopoly on repair of these sets. Their web site, www.bose.com, offers to repair most Wave radios for $100 or provide $200 credit towards the purchase of a new Wave. Before you spend the big bucks though, you might want to check out the new HD radios. Better sound and a MUCH lower price than Bose.
Alarms will not work
Hi. Often following a power outage there is a power surge when the power is restored. If you do not have your Bose protected by plugging it into a surge protector, an internal fuse will blow to protect the rest of the radio. Once that fuse is replaced you will be back up and running. J.
Remote does not work, battery
Sorry to hear about your original remote; we would be happy to help you with addressing your DISH remote to your Bose Wave Radio. Here is a list of some of the codes that we havefor Bose Wave Radio: 761, 664, 656, and 639.
Press and hold the AUX mode button until all mode buttons at the top of theremote come on, then release. Enter the number 2 then one of the codes for your Bose Wave Radio provided above. Press the pound (#) button, the mode light should flashthree times. Check that the code works by trying several different functions onthe remote to make sure it will properly operate your Bose Wave Radio. Keep in mindthat some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case,please try the other codes listed for that device until you find one that iscompatible with your equipment.
