my brookstone wireless outdoor speaker never has worked with just battery power....why and can it be fixed

See if has a fuse anywhere. These are throw away items. It might be time.

its probably the interference with the routers. try getting internet by bypassing the router. much easier sound quality.

i think your wireless speaker is bad or had a factory defect.my suggestion is to return that speakers to the store if they warrant because they will replace it a new...
