Gas conversion lp kit 8927 has 2 pilot orifices...I only need 1, correct?

The smallest pilot orifice is used for LP. Make sure you read the instructions thoroughly. Usually the gas valve pressure regulator is disabled and the burner orifices are also changed. Good luck and hope this helps.

Williams wall heater in California

Yes it sounds like it does. There should be no carbon monoxide in the environment. I am sure you know how dangerous CO is? Can your gas utility company or a registered gas technician to check it. The heat exchanger should be a replaceable part.

Adding a photo to my inquiry?

That probably means too much fuel or not enough air for correct combustion to take place. I would check its settings.

I have Williams double sided furnace. The button on the top keeps popping off from getting too hot. I have to keep the cover off to keep heater working. It has done this since i put it in last year.

The switch you are talking about is called a roll-out or klixon high temperature limit switch. The over heating can due to a clogged flue vent, over firing from gas pressure being to high, etc. More information is needed like the model number, age, etc.

I'm looking for a replacement gas valve for this unit. Williams says it's obsolete. Is there a replacement valve that can be used?

Hi, the next best thing to do would be to submit a quote to an hvac company and put a test valve that you've found within the quote. The company might then update you with the true replacement valve model if your valve is incorrect. Or you can reach out to a sell of your heating product on ebay and ask them if they can sell you that valve or any compatible replacement. Thank you.

Installed new Williams floor furnace 4505622A. Has limit switch so grate won't get too hot. How to we bypass switch so it won't cycle endlessly and heat more efficiently?

Please, never bypass safety features. They are made to cycle and will still cycle if you bypass until it locks out on overheat.

Gas wall furnace pilot goes out when burner turns off.

When the main burner turns off, does it make a whoosh or pop? If so, this would be the issue causing the pilot to be disturbed. And have you tried to adjust the pilot/thermopile strength, if possible? A stronger pilot may help. Now if the main burner slowly goes out, and the pilot also slowly goes out, and also slow to ignite, and you've replaced about everything else, it may be the gas valve itself that has/is giving up. Gas is impure and causes a sticky residue. And if the main burner is "slow to act", this tells me the piston that's inside the valve is slowly opening or closing, and may be the reason the pilot is acting up. Make sure you check the outlet to your flue pipe also for obstructions. If the unit doesn't vent properly it can have more heat in the flue. That heat can have a downward rush when the burner goes out, kinda like forcing air through a clogged tube. And when you quit forcing the air, some of it comes back at you. Before condemning the valve try to check all else as you have done with the thermopile and such. Please work safe and I hope this helps.

Williams furnace stopped working and not igniting. i checked the thermal pile with a voltmeter and reading 0.25 v still the burner is not igniting. The pilot is ok

check to see if the little fan near the pilot is running. You should hear the burring of the fan when you try to light the furnace if you stand near. if you can't hear the fan running, pull off the cover check the fan for debris, rust, or the motor may have stopped working. Check the fan should be your next step.

Williams 1403612 wall heater pilot works fine but heater won't work

Most likely the safety thermocouple has failed though it is possible the bulb or the pilot light has slipped out of position and the pilot flame is no longer heating the bulb.
