Hi, When you connect the HDMI you do not need to connect RCA cable as well. Do not connect 3 all together. HDMI,RCA and DOC. Check manual for proper connections. You can damage your systems. Please read MANUAL.

What DOES it do or show - anywhere on the panel? Perhaps it's in protection.

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Eure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

No music. if just watching TV.

Please elaborate on the fault . If there is no sound from TV to your Music system then check the output connection cables , check for the signals in the output- of not TV must be checked or if there is no input in the music system the selector can be cross checked.

NO OPTICAL SOUND I connected HDMI from reciever

Hello,
I think your problem might be at the digital audio setup at the receiver. To fix this, go into the setup under digital audio and make sure that the input that your connected to is set to optical, not analog or coaxial. Example if your plugged into video 1, make sure that the audio setting corresponds to the optical input where your connected. Video 1-optical-1.
Good Luck

Pairing Samsung remote to Yamaha RX-V361

Normally makers don't play ball between each other. Yes if it was a Samsung Television and a Samsung Receiver A/V System. Or if you have something like a Cable Box or Satellite System that is made to interact with other makes. Or if it is a Universal Remote. I think you were just lucky that it happened to use the same frequency. Look in the manual for a scan command. https://www.google.com/search?q=Connect+Samsung+OLED+S90+remote+to+Yamaha+RX-V361+via+optical ..
