How do I stop my cake from sticking to the pan?

You must make sure that you grease your pan really generously before you put the batter in. You can use either a vegetable shortening or a cooking spray.

Once you take your cake out the oven, give it about ten minutes to cool down before tipping it onto a surface to cool. Sometimes if cakes are left in the tin too long after cooking it causes them to stick.

How do I make deviled eggs?

Hard boil 6 eggs. After you have hard boiled them, peel the shell and cut the eggs in half lengthways. Scoop out the yolk into a bowl and add to it 1/2 teaspoon of curry powder & 2 heaped tablespoons of mayonnaise. Smoosh it all together and then refill the eggs where you scooped the yolk out and season it with salt and pepper. Yum!

Hi. I want to put a sponge cake batter in a Wilton cake pan I always flip my sponge cake upside down and use an angel food pan. How will I get my sponge cake out of the Wilton cake pan after cooled.

Most sponge cakes containing baking powder can be baked in standard round cake pans that are greased and floured. I prefer nonstick baking spray, myself. Without leavening, or if cake is delicate, it might help to line the bottom of the pan with greased parchment and leave the sides ungreased. Simply run a butter knife around the sides to release finished cake.

I'm baking chocolate muffins & want to put cherry pie filling in the middle. Is it okay to just pour a bit of batter in then bake it briefly, then put filling in and re,ainder batter & finish baking?

I do not recommend partial cooking before fully filling the muffin with the filling. Muffins are more likely to cave in and be over cooked. In most cases the bottoms will over cook and the top of the muffin will be undercook. Just bake the muffins with the filling at the same time.

Can I still bake a Marie Calenders frozen pumpkin pie if it has thawed?

The short answer is yes you can but you wilk need yo reduce your cooking time from between 5-15 minutes. Do not change the recommended oven temperature, just be mindful that it will take less time. Frozen food is frozen to preserve it. All food that is thawed out can and should be cooked and NOT refrozen.

How many cake mixes do i have to get to make a wilton garfield stand up cake

These Wilton stand up cakes generally take one box of cake mix. The recipes I eyed seem to call for between six and seven cups of batter, however. Here is a link to a Wilton Garfield recipe (which may disagree with the batter amount I mentioned because of the physical look you are seeking). The pans seem to be of the late 70's vintage. http://brisbanecaketinhire.com/_pdfs/instructions/novelty/garfield.pdf

Can Eccles Cakes make sickness

Any food can make you sick if you eat too much! However, as someone who comes from near the home of Eccles Cakes, which is Eccles, Greater Manchester, UK, I am also a qualified baker. Eccles cakes are made of a dried currant fruit mixed with butter and brown (Demerara) sugar. The fruit is wrapped in a puff pastry envelope, trying to keep the sealed edges from being too bulky, and therefore not pleasant to eat. The whole thing is then rolled flat to produce a cake about 3 inches in diameter. The seal is placed onto the baking tin, the top is docked, (lightly pricked) to prevent too much rising. A quick egg wash and after resting for half an hour, bake in a hot oven until brown and crispy on top. Let it cool or burn your lips! It won't make you sick for at least three cakes ??

I have a box of your angel food cake. I would like to make a chocolate angel food cake. How would I use the box I have already and make it a chocolate angel food cake?

Hello, Susan - Fixya.com does not sell angel food cake mix. I does not sell ANYTHING. It is a website intended for asking and answering questions on how to go about REPAIRING THINGS. You will need to go to the website of the company which manufactured the cake mix you have and pose your question to the Customer Service department. Best wishes.
