I found a solution that worked for me:

1. Turn on the projector

2. Press "Power > Left > Left > MENU" (Opens the system menu)

3. Choose "RD Menu"

4. Choose " EEPROM Restore" (the projector turn off and the power lamp blink red for about 1 minut. Then it stops)

5. Turn on the projector again and it should work again

It might be a bad bulb, plugged vents, too close to the wall, running on a soft surface; but probably the bulb.

1,Check the fans ,whether the fan is running,when you turn on the projector 2,if the fans run, then ,check the lamp or lamp ballast turn on the projector ,at the same time ,if you can hear a continuous beep beep sound (the ballast igniting the lamp) means the lamp may be fault,and other parts is working well

Nothing you can do! Next message will tell you it's full and to take it to a Canon Service Department. But what they really want you to do is buy a new one. It's called built in obsolescence!

Try download Hirens boot disc this is now v 15.2 and about 500mb file ,google this it can be put on USB stick or burnt to cd.it has just about every tool know to man for computer related problems with a whole host of HDD stuff.however if your hard drive is starting to fail you need to get it copied over to another drive ASAP. Bad sectors can sometimes be fixed without losing data but it's only a matter of time before it becomes unreadable .
