If your Leapster 2 will turn on, but the touch screen is not responding to the stylus, try re-calibrating the stylus with the screen using the steps below: 1. Turn your Leapster 2 off, and remove the game cartridge.
2. Hold down the 'hint' button while the game is off. The 'hint' button is the middle small button in the row of three above the directional pad on the left, with a '?' on it.
3. With your finger still firmly on the 'hint' button, turn the Leapster 2 back on. Keep your finger on the 'hint' button.
4. The screen should be displaying the calibration screen. You can release the 'hint' button now.
5. Press the 'A' button on the right to enter the calibration screen.
6. A small '+' sign will appear on the screen. Touch it with the stylus. A new '+' sign will appear. Touch this with the stylus too, and repeat for as many '+' signs as your Leapster 2 throws at you.
7. The screen will return to the calibration screen. You can now turn the machine off. Leave the cartridge out of the console, and turn it back on.
8. Your stylus and touch screen should now be working, enabling you to sign in as usual.
9. If it is working correctly then you can turn it off, add a game cartridge and turn it back on

It sounds like you did everything to try and fix it..did you let the batteries stay out at least ten seconds? It sounds like it's quite defective. and I would give it back to the store you bought it from? if it's been a long time you also can send the company a note directly to the manufacturer. Or you can buy a new one, and return the old one nit's box? good luck!

How to transfer pics from leap pad 2 to pc

If you have the LeapFrog Connect software that came with the Leap Pad 2, then transferring photos, artwork, and videos is easy. Accessing those photos on your local hard drive is just as easy, although not very intuitive. When you plug the Leappad 2 into the USB port of your computer, the software should open and ask you if you want to upload new content. After you choose "yes" that content can be viewed in the Creative Gallery. On the top right corner of the creative gallery, you will see a link that says "Local Files." I am including a picture to make this easier to find. The link will direct you to the place on your hard drive where all the pictures, artwork, and videos from your LeapPad are stored. You can then move them to any folder or harddrive on your computer. The folder on my computer can be found at C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\LeapFrog - your folder is probably in the same place.29ec8760-b930-49bd-bffb-7162832caddf.jpg

Leappad tuneup stuck at 5%

This toy sucks. I've had a really crappy year, but three months ago I had a good month and had a little extra to spare so I decided to buy, for Christmas the Leappads my two daughters had been asking for since last year's Christmas. All good? NO! After being very excited and seeing the happiness on my two little girls's faces when they saw their gifts I was very happy with the way this year was ending. Until it came time to get a few "apps" and connect to the internet etc. with these things. Nothing works, no updates, no registrations, nothing. To add insult to injury, I've my proof of purchase for these two items has been lost and I now have to sit my two little kids down tomorrow to let them know that their "dream gifts" are useless and may remain that way for the foreseeable future. I've plugged a lot of stuff into my computer and have never had any problems, until this little kid's toy came along and nothing works.Way to go LeapFrog. I followed your instructions and am now stuck with two absolutely useless toys after spending the bulk of my Christmas day trying to get these stupid things to work!!!
