No power
Well Dr. Hitachi has a sequence of L.E.D lights in back of set that lights up in accordance to what is wrong with set. there are about 8. so you need to first get someone to turn on and while looking notice which lights up first and goes out first. This tell the tech what is wrong with set. From my experience with Hitachi, I have replaced many Convergence amps which are the big STK's392-*** or something close to this depending on the set. But it most of the time gives some kind of indication before going out. Like color problems not matching up. Red, Blue or Green out of line, mostly on corners of set. If no color problems then next would be sound problems, and vertical problems. Either problem will give a no High Voltage problem like yours. Also it has little pica fuses, sometimes yellow in color. These can be open also. There are many areas to check but if you are willing you can find the problem. Remember to be safe at checking anything with set plugged in. Turn off first. Hope this helps!

Power light stay on
Sounds like you may have a sticking Relay S901 on the power board. Tapping the Relay may Make The Light Go On And Off. The relay part number is FJ00142 if you can find someone to work on the set for you as it would involve soldering in the new part. The number on the relay may be ALKS329 with the former part number being the Hitachi Part number.

How do i scan for channels on my hitachi RC A48105. I do not have a manual
I don't know but it probably isn't much different to most other tv/remote combinations where commands are given by the remote and carried out by the brain in the tv.
Start by pressing the Menu button and the main menu should appear onscreen and from there use the up, down, left and right buttons to navigate the main menu and the select button to select sub-menus and items from the menu(s) until you reach the section on channel search, installation, etc.

Hitachi rear proj tv Channel Manager says " This Function is not available". How do I do a channel rescan?
First make sure that the current Source or Input is set to TV. This is usually the only reason for the error message you see. To select the source, look for a Source or Input button on the original remote. If you have an universal remote with a button with the Source/Input label, you may need to try alternative codes to make the button work. (Power and channel controls will often match across multiple codes for the TV manufacturer.) Alternatively, check if there is a Source/Input button on the TV or a section of the menu system with the function. Once you set this source, try again.
Note: there was a period when manufacturers sold some TVs without tuners. They were labeled HD-ready sets. These can't do a channel scan and do not have an RF antenna jack on the set.
I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model number of your Hitachi TV for more information on setting the source on your set.

I need to know how to hook my DVD player to ,y
look on the back of the television and the DVD player, there should be a SCART socket and/or red, white and yellow AV sockets, either use a SCART lead and connect it to the SCART on the DVD player and the TV.Or use an AV lead with 3 auxiliary shape connectors and match the colour of each connector with the female sockets on both the TV and the DVD player instead of using the other component connections.
