If the symptom didn't cure by convergence adjustment through remote control, this is an indication of faulty convergence board inside. The most common defective parts are the IC's and some of the resistors. If this parts will be replace with new one your unit will back to normal again. Also bad solder joints is going to consider in that board. You may replace the entire convergence board for your convenient. If you can't do this yourself, I would advice you to look for a qualified technician to troubleshoot the symptom.

you need to open the tv up and take out the internal fuse or fuses...go and get the right type of fuses...(the fuses will be made of glass and the same size of a plug fuse) DO NOT USE PLUG FUSES....if that fails then you need to take it to the tv repair man

This is a common problem. Its called a convergence failure.

Problem #1) Convergence

Symptoms:

• Screen Looks 3D
• Colors wont align
• Video may look distorted

Problem #2 CRT Fluid has clouded over. Symtoms

the convergance amp ic;s have failed and need to be replaced along with the 2 burnt resistors not a bad job about 250 cost

No picture or OSD (menu) means your tubes are not lit which means high voltage failure of some sort, can`t help any further on a forum like this, hv circuit needs to be looked at by a tech, gl, video-tek

hi, you might get lucky and have a locked up micro, un-plug the ac cord for 1 minute and then plug back in, this will do a hard, set-re-set of your tv. If still dead then power supply has been damaged and you`ll need a tv tech to diagnose it, good luck, video-tek

check your sound settings. Are you using internal speakers or external ?

f you had multiple power outages, i would contact the power company or/and insurance company and it should be covered under that, but sounds like power supply problem if you had power surges
if lighting cause it then it could be anything.

This can be one of two problems. 1: convergence output ic's need to be replaced. 2: The problem is in the power supply, most likely a power diode.

Both problems you will need to take it two a repair shop.

This repair will be around $300 to 400.

most likely you have bad connections on green stk solder the connections or replace the stk check all fuses too

conversion ics are not working making the set go ino shut down,, only a technicia can repair

replace convergence ic's probably stk392-150 and check all resistors normal values 1.5 ohm-2.2 ohm-2.0 ohm-3.9 ohm check out of circuit- tolerance has to be dead on.

That sounds like it is not booting properly. I would check for correct power supply opperation and if not that, look for a software reloading procedure in the user instruction manual.

I'd unplug/disconnect the Roku and after 30 seconds try the control button on the back. If you can change the input do so, then plug the Roku back in.
