Make sure you're hooking it up to the HDMI port or the Composite port correctly. There is a red green and blue for composite that usually wont work in a port marked "Input 1" You would need to put it in "component/composite 1" correctly. I've come across this not working in 1080, but fine in 720p.
We just bought a Hitachi
Projection TV sets have two very common problems. One is convergence ( 3D/Warped video) the other is CRT fluid ( Dull Video). Here are more details and solutions for both. Repair kits with instructions are also avail from www.TvRepairKits.com
Common Problem #1) Convergence has gone out
Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.
This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.
Common Symptoms include....
- Screen looks 3D
- Colors don't line up
- One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
- Screen is bowed or warped.
- TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some pics of convergence problems.

Common Problem #2) CRT Fluid is Cloudy
Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

According to Sears Parts Distribution, the panel (which unfortunately is not a piece of plexiglass) can be purchased at this website:

at a price of $468.15
It may be worth investing perhaps in a new Mitsubishi DLP, which can cost as little as $999 at places like Costco. Though I did read that your particular TV has an excellent picture.

Hello,
Yes, the television is 3D ready, you do not need any software, device or operation from the television to get it to work 3D. Most of these recent televisions are 3D ready. All you need to do is just hook it up to either your antenna, cable, DVD player or any device you want to connect it to and start enjoying the lovely view from your television.
Take care and good luck
Can you purchase the
You can order a part like that online from the manufacturer (for $) or you can grab some fabric from the local fabric store and with some glue and scissors make a "custom" grill.

Hello. Surfing this site 'cause mine's broke. But, maybe a non-technician can help just the same. If you're going to court, try asking some of the paralegals how values are determined for court cases. OR, what kind of depreciation the judge may use by taking the value at purchase less a percentage per year owned. I say ask paralegals because you'll find them in civil courts records departments (places like a register of deeds office). You could also try asking an insurance adjuster, but not anyone you do business with as they often use simple inquiries to blackmark you in the national insurance database sending your premiums up. Hope this helps!
Where to buy hitachi projection screen
First, I can tell you most of the Hitachi sets sell both inner and outer screens as a unit--most of the time it is the only way they are available.
Get me the exact model number and I will try to get you part number, cost, and place where it can be ordered if it is available.
If this is helpful rate this solution as I do this here for free.

Before t.v. completly shut down
have you change batteries of your remote? try replacing them.
if problem still there, you need to check on the powersupply or fuse. they might have failed already and needs replacement.
also check if there are capacitors from t\your tv's nain board that started to bulge.
