Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. "Video" is displayed on the monitor(TV) usually because you have the DVD player plugged in by a single RCA cable (three with audio). TV remote or DVD player should have a "display" button. Try tapping that to clear. Or, go through the "Input" keys on TV remote and select the video source vs. letting it auto detect. Hope this helps.

Try resetting the power by switching off the TV and then switch off the TV's power outlet and disconnect the TV's power cable from the outlet. Press and hold the TV's Power button for about 30 seconds to drain any residual power from the TV and then release the button. Turn on the TV in the normal manner and see if it turns on then afterwards.

I am guessing it's an old(ish) TV. As a plasma the chances are that it is on it's way out. Please Try new cables (HDMI etc)

I don't know but it probably isn't much different to most other tv/remote combinations where commands are given by the remote and carried out by the brain in the tv. Start by pressing the Menu button and the main menu should appear onscreen and from there use the up, down, left and right buttons to navigate the main menu and the select button to select sub-menus and items from the menu(s) until you reach the section on channel search, installation, etc.
