Canon ImageRunner 1600 Copier Questions & Answers
Adf won't feed, just makes loud clicking sounds
Normally ADFs have a top feed roller and a bottom feed which turns in the opposite direction . If the top feed roller is dirty / dusty , the original will not be pulled through , Also if the original is very thick ( > 130 140 gsm )

Could you help me to fix on error of np6650 about
E001 - E003 such problems are mainly in the fixing assembly so you need to:-
1. check for the fuser lamp if it is not broken.(if broken replace)
2. the themistor if working properly.(if broken replace)
3. cables leading to the thermistor and the fuser lamp if working well.
5. change the fixing roller if it is finished.
6. reset the machine(in case of IR1600)

My printer says the door is open when it is
Hello,
the iR1600/2000 will show the message close printer door if the copier paper path door ( on left side of copier, beneath the bypass tray are paper path door in level with paper cass. ) isn't closed well. Open the door and close them with some "gentle" force. It is good idea first to push the paper path guide, before closing the door.
Hope that helps!

I have canon ir2000 photocopier
Canon IR 2000 copier is showing System Error E000
Hello,
From my searches online the first course of action seems to be resetting the printer in service mode.
I attempted to clear it in service mode:
1. Press ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS, #
2. Go to #7 Printer and press OK
3. Go to #4 Printer Reset and press OK
4. Yes = ( > )
However, when I press the yes (>) nothing happens.
Does anyone know why this is not working?

My image runner 1600 has been a great little
Hello keith,
The canon IR1600 is indeed a strong pony which I personally would never through away. But consider the fact that by law any manufacturer may choose (and usually will) to stop production of replacement parts after 7 years. So from that standpoint alone you are on thin ice. My answer (for what its worth) would be to be prepared for a new copier by doing the necessary research for a new one. That way you will be poised and prepared for the inevitable. That way when your pony lies down you have a game plan. Perhaps you could shelve it now and keep it as a backup while its still working. But you are indeed gambling on parts availabilty. I wish you well. :-) SPINAL

HOW DO YOU REPLACE THE DRUM IN A CANON IMAGERUNNER
Hi,
do you mean complete drum unit?
If yes, you need to open front cover, realese the blue handle, remove the left sideway cover ( cover above the bypass tray, that have handle in the middle and goes out in left direction - TRANSFER COVER ), you will see two handles, left and right of the drum ( green roller ), grab them and pull the drum unit out.
Reinsert new drum unit, put back the transfer cover, lock the blue handle and close front cover.
Hope that helps!

I have a paper jam and it says to open the front
Hi,
The paper jam could be in three places.
First:
Open the cover of fixing section, its above bypass, and check for jamed paper
Second:
Open the transfer cover, these cover has handle and it goes by pulling toward you, and check for jamed paper.
Third:
In hight of first paper cassette, on left sideway of copier, beaneath the bypass are small door, open it and check for paper jams. Be sure that you closed them properly because if they arent closed the check printer cover message will arrise.
Hope that helped

I HAVE DEGITAL COPIER IR 1600 THE PROPLEM COMING
it is very possible the dark line on your copies are being caused by the drum. it will all depend on how many copies are on it but without seeing one of the copies the best guess i can make is the drum.
